Jesus and the 12 Dudes Who Did

I like the idea behind this book and the teachable sections for kids to learn about the disciples. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the concept of the faces only being the stable parts does make it look a little creepy since as you get further through the books they are built up to stick through all the pages. Kids may not pick up on this but my husband (who isn't a Christian to begin with but will read a Noah lift the flap back) refuses to read the book to our son due to this. To each his own, person preference here.

What I like most about this book is how each Apostle is presented as an individual. Too often, children learn about the twelve Apostles as a group, but here something unique is presented about each man. It even reminded me of how each man had something to offer Christ in His mission to spread His message. I enjoyed the rhymes and found the graphic and 3D faces of the Apostles very appealing, as does my toddler.My only complaint about this book is the title, which I find unnecessarily flip. "Dudes"?? NOT NECESSARY! The rest of the text is completely respectful and accurate, as far as I can tell. In fact, the title to me doesn't even go with the tone or the message of the book. I addressed this simply putting a white label over the "Dudes Who Did" part and covered it with the word "Apostles."

I loved her book "9 Fruits Alive" so much that I took a chance and bought this as well. I LOVE it! It's done in the same style and its a wonderful way for my 1 year old to learn about all of the disciples! He loves to point at all the disciples faces and play with the holes in the book (where the embellishments show through). Very fun book! Love that he's learning what many Christian adults don't know, the names of all the disciples!

This is our second copy - the first was so "loved" it finally fell apart. My kids (15,13 and 8) still love it, as do we! Simple but gets the message across.

Cutest book ever! Each page has the identifying scripture and then each disciple is introduced. Highly recommend it. You cant quite see in the description but the faces are cut aways so the faces poke through the book flap. We bought the bible characters along with the booking for teaching. Great combo!

My son loves these books! They are colorful and fun to read. He enjoys feeling the raised faces and noticing the differences from page to page. We have several of these books and each one really captures his attention (which is significant for a 2 year old boy)!

My kiddos loved this book growing up and is my go too for baptismal gifts.

This book is amazing! It changed my life.Before I read this book I did not believe in baby Jesus as my personal saviour... And as soon as I got this book I knew, I have the answer. It's now been two months since I first read it and I can truly say my life has changed. Thank you baby J
