Measuring pH The pH scale goes from 0-14, where 0 is very acidic (think battery acid) and 14 is very alkaline (think lye). In general, the pH of the human body should be slightly alkaline — about 7.4. A pH reading in the Optimal Zone tells you that your insides are happy, while a pH reading in the Danger Zone may mean you’re putting yourself at risk for serious disorders. Suggested Use: Dip pHion pH Test Strip into saliva or urine, match test results to the pHion pH Color Chart on the bottle after waiting 15 seconds. Directions To Test Urine: Quickly pass the strip through your urine stream Shake off any excess urine immediately Hold the strip in the air, wait 15 seconds, then match the color on the strip pad to the corresponding color chart found on the bottle Note your pH reading level for futute reference Discard the strip - DO NOT reuse Directions To Test Saliva: Prior to testing, ensure you have not eaten, drank or brushed your teeth in the last hour Rinse your mouth out with water and wait for approximately 3 minutes Test your saliva Hold the strip in the air, wait 15 seconds, then match the color on the strip pad to the corresponding color chart found on the bottle Note your pH reading level for future reference Discard the strip - DO NOT reuse Please Note: If you don't get an exact color match, you're in between ranges.
