I had an older moisture merer that worked fine, but wanted something where I could check ph levels as well and decided to get this because it was a decent price and had good reviews. Sadly this does not work accurately at all. I added some acidic fertilizer to a specific plant and watered it deeply. I tested this meter first on another plant that had not been watered and had no fertilizer added. When I checked the fertilized and watered plant the meter barely moved. I tested multiple other plants and the same thing. I tried my old meter and it indicated that there was moisture in the plant. I suggest you find another product as this did not work properly.

It can be used outdoors in the lawn and garden or inside on houseplants. Th test just insert probe into the soil and read the meters. I thought my lawn was too acidic as I was getting a lot of sour weed but after testing I found that the pH was fine. I could have caused more lawn damage had I tried to correct without testing. I also have been getting house gnats and it turns out my houseplants are overly moist which causes the gnats to breed in the soil. I now use the moisture meter to check before watering. I highly recommend using the meter if you have any questions regarding moisture and pH.

This is such a helpful tool for plant care! With this meter, I can easily see which plant has too much water or not enough water, and whether the soil is more acidic or alkaline. It gives a really good guideline because plants cannot talk to us. This feels like a little translator for my plants. Haha. Very simple to use and helpful for both indoor and outdoor plants.
