Just as good and in some ways better than the first party controller!
Great price on this and the quality is on par with the NES Classic first party controller that comes with the official unit. The buttons and directional pad are super responsive and have a nice satisfying feel to them when pressed. The plastic of the body and buttons feels perfect and I love the design and texture on the face artwork. The start and select buttons are rubber like the original NES controller as well. Overall excellent quality. It's nice that the cable is 6' as well, compared to the way-too-short NES Classic first party controllers short 2' cable. My only minor issue would be that the A and B buttons are convex instead of concave, but this doesn't affect anything aside from my personal preference for an NES controller.

They look neat!
The remotes are not what I was expecting based on the description. I was expecting cords not only to be much longer in length, but also the same length on both cords. They are compatible with the mini classic console as stated, but I did have a difficult time getting one of the remotes hooked in. Both controllers have very delayed button reactions and reverse/back/left on one pad did not work at all. The start and keys are so soft that you have to push them down into the remote to allow them to work.

Work fine for us
I was a little sketched out by the number of low ratings for these but frankly there weren't any other options, really. They do feel a little different than the one that comes with the NES Mini but not drastically so. The A and B buttons are domed instead of concave and the action is a tiny bit spongy but I haven't had any issues with them being inaccurate or no registering presses like some people have mentioned. They seemed to perform just as well as the pack-in unit. The longer cord was a bonus as well. We haven't put a serious beating on them but they have quite a few hours of use with no issues so far. Fingers crossed.

Knock off prices for a knock off controller
I bought a two-pack of these controllers for the recently released NES Classic Edition. Neither feels or functions like the OEM controller. One controller is decent. The buttons just feel a little loose. The second controller will be relegated to backup because the right directional pad must be depressed harder than normal to work and the A button doesn’t always stay depressed even when I’m holding it down. Are they really that difficult to make?

D-pad issues, potentially will receive uneven length controllers (6 ft and 4.5 ft).
The package I received had two different controllers. One was 6 ft (as advertised) the other was 4.5 feet. Granted it is still longer than the original Nes Classic controller which is good.(I would of preferred to have two 6 ft controllers, but complacency has set in and I rather not go through the rigmarole to get a replacement for the 4.5) I have noticed many issues with the d pad for both, but the shorter one has more issues. It seems to want to always press down or diagonal down (either direction). I either have to apply extreme science and mechanical skills to it (smash it on my leg a couple times), or just get use to the controls and not play games that require pin point precision. All in all it is fair. The distance is nice, the d pad issues is what i give up in order not to be 2 feet away from my TV.

Great controller, doesn't stand up to dog
So this is a really good controller. It actually feels a little nicer to hold than the controller that came with my NES. The only minor issue is that our puppy knocked it down, and then chewed threw it. So... can't stand up to a dog, but I'm not sure it should be expected to (which is why this is still a 5-star review).

No issues whatsoever with controllers. Love them!
I was very hesitant in purchasing this due to the negative comments about the controllers not working properly and how you have to press the buttons and control pad very hard to get it to work. With it being so inexpensive, I decided to take a chance on them and I don't regret it. I have used both controllers on my Nintendo mini and both work great. I didn't have to hard-press any buttons, they work just like the original controller, just with longer cords! I'm very surprised and certainly satisfied. I know there are so many negative comments, but if it works for me, I'm sure it will work for you too.

you'll need to oil the start and select buttons.
When i received both controllers i had to oil the start and select buttons because they were sticking, i also had to put padding behind the PCB on both controllers since the "A" button was going too far in and there wasn't any padding behind the start and select buttons. Other than that the controllers respond the same as the controller that comes with the nes classic edition.

Toss of the coin
These looked and felt great. Unfortunatly the left direction button didn't work well. As in. Characters wouldn't go back or left. Found out the issue when I played Zelda. Left direction button made link walk up the screen rather than left. Just bad luck really..... other than that they are great. I bought the 8Bitdo SF30 2.4G Wireless Controller instead. It even lets you reset wothput getting up off your seat. It's more 3xpensive but it's faultless.

Ok but... buttons a bit 'clunky'
Well it works (unlike so many others that claim to be compatible) And the cable is long enough to make the NES Classic edition useable! However the controller buttons are a bit 'clunky' not as smooth or as nice as the official Nintendo product, but for the price build quality is ok, and i'm guessing with a bit of 'playing in' the buttons might soften up a bit.So overall, yeah ok I guess, as listed and works ... useable but not totally amazing and I think some gamers are going to find the hardness of the buttons a problem. Im really on the fence with this one... But if your looking for a quality budget option, that works! then this will do!

Much better than the original
This product is much nicer than the original NES controller and is completely compatible. The black colour actually makes it look more premium and the wire is much longer allowing you to sit further away from the console/TV and the buttons themselves are much softer which greatly assists with gameplay.

Great product
Build quality is superb for the price, I'd even go as far as to say better than the one included with the NES. The cable is a lot longer, a great inclusion compared to the tiny cable you get with the original controller. Plug and play; zero issues there, just went straight in and It was recognised as a controller. Nothing bad to say about this product at all. I had an issue with delivery and got a second one sent out, it was extremely quick to rectify the issue and apologise, received the controller within a day of speaking to them.

Nice long cables - totally worth getting!
These are really great controllers and the cable is a decent length. I'm glad I bought 2 because the one that comes with the Nintendo Classic Mini is ridiculously short! You'd have to be right beside the TV to use it. The controllers are comfortable to use and they're a real blast from the past :) yay, Mario Brothers!
