Easy to use, does a good job but several passes are required to extract all the goodness.
Kitchen worktop is not smooth so attached it to a glass worksurface! Turn mounds of red tomatoes into purée for the freezer. Manual action that needs to be repeated 3-4 times to extract all the goodness but the result was a sweet, thick purée. Superb!

passatta maker
A good product that processes a large quantity of tomatoes quickly. The instructions are limited to a few pictures on the packaging, but it's hardly rocket science to operate. You put tomatoes in the hopper turn the handle and tomato juice/puree comes out the other end. It pays to pass the residual pulp through the machine several times to extract maximum juice. As with all this type of machine it takes a bit of time to clean properly so waiting till you have a large amount of tomatoes to process makes sense. The suction pad actually sticks to the work surface and didn't come off once, so that has to be a bonus. All round good product....loses one star for the cleaning time involved...but don't let that put you off buying one.

Good product if you don’t have alternative
My wife have used the product to make tomato juice. It is super easy to asamble and to clean which is great, instead the suction power is not as good. The quantity of tomato pulp, skin and seeds that came out at the first use needs to be passed through the machine at least 4 times, if you want all the juice to be extracted.I’ve attached photos with the fruit at the 1st use and the last photo is the fruit passed 4th time through machine.

Clear the tomato glut with ease
Great machines saves so mush time and all you have to throw at the end is the skins.Yes there is a couple of design flaws but for the price you can't really complain. This is the second year we have used it to clear the glut of ripe tomatoes. We have found that it takes two people to use it effectively as the suction cup can come undone occasionally its best to have an extra hand to hold it down. The chute that process out the skins is slightly strongly positioned so you have to hold a shallow container to catch the skins, then always process this a few more times to make sure you don't loose any goodies. Cleaning does take a while but the whole thing comes apart to make it easy, if you unscrew the handle you can take apart the roasting squisher and wash that and clean the inside of the mesh and the red chute easily. Great little gadget!

Very good product. Sturdy. Easy to clean and once the pulp is run through the mill twice u'll have extracted all the goodness. Happy preserving :)

.
does not stick very much to the surface of the table, it peels off when you have to remove the juice. I don't recommend it

Really quick results
Thought it was a brilliant purchase although I am going to plant tomatoes next year which produce a more realistic passatta. It took minutes to process the tomatoes and about 20 minutes to dismantle and clean.

Easy peasy passata.
The machine works but you do need to pass the pulp through 4 or 5 times to remove as much juice as possible. There are a couple of issues with it, the first is if you have a textured worktop, it doesn’t fix securely. I cut up a piece of old shelf that’s smooth so the suction works then put the wood on a damp cloth. The second issue is the chute for the waste is too close to the chute for the juice. There’s not a lot of space to get two containers underneath.Minor problems but something to watch out for.
