Hylox Soft Chews for Dogs - Supports Joints & Cushions Connective Tissues - Glucosamine - Alpha Linolenic Acid - Creatine -120 Soft Chews

Purchased for my aging Bischon with a lot of spunk! She lived to nearly 16. If it weren't for her cushions disease and eyesight being so bad, she could have lived longer. She gobbled these up and I had her on these for the last few years of her life. She didn't act like an elderly dog once on these. She still ran and played, wagged her tail and loved. I swear by these. I wish I had another dog like her. These are expensive, but it allowed her to be withhout pain and give us more time together. Fantastic product if you can afford it.

I tried PhyCox-JS on the recommendation of a veterinarian, who gave me a free sample of the product for use on a twelve-year-old dog with progressive arthritis and joint problems. The dog was already on a daily regime of Glycoflex-600 and a Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin compound. In spite of this, she showed marked deterioration in recent months - her back legs were far less reliable than they had been and she was showing a marked curvature of the lower spine when she walked - so much so that a passing policeman, observing her condition, checked to see if she had recently been severely beaten.The dog has been on PhyCox-JS for approximately three months - two a day for the first month; a one-a-day maintenance dose since then. One of her back legs is still just a little lame, noticeable only when she climbs and descends stairs, but the other fine, and the curvature of the spine, which was becoming very noticeable indeed, is no longer detectable and in no way affects her mobility. She is still on the regime of Glycoflex and the Glucosamine compound, but the doses of both have been halved to a single unit a day.The evidence strongly suggests, there being no other obvious factor that would explain the recent marked improvement in the dog's condition, that it is the result of the PhyCox chews. I very strongly recommend that any dog owner whose pet is suffering from joint deterioration try this inexpensive product - 33 cents a day maintenance dose for a medium-sized dog.

I have used Hylox chewable son my older GWP hunting dog for several years. It works.

In lieu of Phycox soft chews we switched to Hylox soft chews mainly because they remain moist for a long period of time; perhaps because of the plastic bag inside the container. Fortunately, my dog does accepts these chews where other reviewers have not been so lucky.We hide a tramadol pain pill inside each chew, and they do not fall apart like Phycox chews...a week after opening their container. Customers can compare the main ingredient (glucosamine) to verify product similarity, 450 vs 400 per chew.Finally, hylox is currently less expensive; an added benefit.We cannot discern any advantage between the effectiveness of either chew due to the advanced degradation of our pet's hip joints; genetic flaw. We hope they provide some lubrication effects, to aid in movement. Any comfort is due solely to pain pills. Our dog finds us when it is the scheduled time for her pill, after a year's use.Entirely Pets issues our products long before they update the paper trail. Our 11 year old has major rear knee arthritis. After a month of this treatment, she was much improved. These are hard on her stomach though, especially at the treatment dosage (maintenance dosage is 1/2 of treatment dosage), even when given with meals. Price is 40% less than at the vets (I am sorry, I find the vets 100% markup to be a bit extreme).07/09/2009: We continue to be pleased with results on maintenance dosage, but stomach discomfort has continued. We finally began splitting the chew in half, and crumbling 1/2 chew at the bottom of her bowl, with every meal, and placing her kibble on top. With 2 meals per day we are able to give Sadie her maintenance dose of 1 chew per day with greatly reduced stomach discomfort.

My dog will not eat these. I had to purchase some soft dog food and mix it inorder to get these in her. Haven't seen any change yet in her hip. She is 15 + years old and overweight. Hoping to see some difference in the next week or two. If I see any improvement I will post again.

This product shipped and arrived as expected from [...]. Most importantly  Hylox Soft Chews (120 ct)  is working as claimed. We have an 8 year old German Shepard who had become slower and did not get up so fast. Last October (2009) we began treating after this product was recommended by our vet. The results are unbelievable! Even after a few days we could see it beginning to work. This is clearly making a strong positive difference. We have our dog back again! She gets up and runs and plays like when she was 2. She loves the chews and thinks they are candy. I am very picky about what products I use and my Vet is even more careful about recommending anything. There are other joint supplements but this one has a different combination of active ingredients that cannot be found in stores. I have no reservation recommending this product.

I have been using Hylox and Phycox interchangeably, based on price. I started using this when my yellow lab was about 10 months old, when I discovered hip dysplasia. He is now 5 1/2 years old. His vet recommended Phycox and I found it on Amazon at a much better price. If he doesn't get these chews for a period of a week he can hardly move. I give him 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening, to help control the pain of his him. He also gets Rimadyl when he plays to hard. I can't say enough good about this product and Phycox. I know they are not the same product but they do give my boy relief and allows him to play catch and Frisbee when he wants. Without these chews he would be on pain drugs daily.
