Excellent Engine Oil for FZ Bike – Better Than the Rest!

Good and refined
I switched from Bajaj engine oil to motul 10w40 fully synthetic. No major noticeable difference for a 150cc bike. Over-all smooth and good performance. Good value for money at Rs. 694.

This is a detailed review , I'll share my experiences and what could've been better with thisDo not buy this if you're in a really cold region , from what I've noticed from this oil ( already used for 3 oil changes ) it performs good only after a fair bit of warming up , don't get me wrong this is the case for most oils but most people don't give their vehicles enough time for warmup , they just start and ring open the throttle because they are late . This is detrimental for your engine as the clearances are not tight enough when cold ( yes this doesn't change for fi vehicles also , and carb vehicles definitely NEED warmup ).Now let's come back to the actual product , I've been using this on my Suzuki burgman street 125 ( for the people who don't know it shares the engine with the access 125 ) . The recommended oil is 10w30 from their brand ecstar which is honestly bad , you're better off getting Castrol activ scooter , motul scooter le ( for casual riders ) or Castrol power 1 10w30 ( if you ride it spiritedly ) .If you are ok with spending this much on an oil then go with the motul 7100 , this is worth max 650-700 ( although 700 is a bit of a stretch ) , please don't buy this at ₹ 820 .Coming to the experiencePros+ If you're changing from the oem oil ( ecstar ) , this will be a day and night difference . The first 1000kms will be like butter ( provided you've maintained the bike properly )+ This performs best in hot conditions like high ambient temperatures , stop and go traffic , spirited riding and highways+ The change interval is approximately the same , maybe it can run 200-300 kms more but with a catch which I'll include in the cons . But whatever oil you buy , you should try to stick to the recommended oil change interval to keep the engine running at optimised condition+ Many people don't change the gear oil very often or not at all , then they blame the engine oil for reduced mileage. Also another mistake is that they use engine oil for gear oil , even the Mannual recommends it but I'd high suggest not doing that . You can get 80w90 gear oil for pretty cheap .Cons- This is not really a con but lack of people's patience and care , scooters are the most abused vehicles in every family . Unfortunately no engine oil can save this , so if you're someone who just turns on the scooter on a cold morning and just ring open the throttle to work/school/wherever then please don't get this oil , stick to stick oem oil and anyway with this practice you'll destroy your engine with 30-50k kms so why bother pouring premium oil . This oil needs a bit of warmup to performance optimally.- This is the only proper con associated with the product and motul in general , this oil burns a lot . So if you're someone who neglects oil change then don't get this as you'll be running without oil when you replace it late .So in conclusion this oil performs good if you treat your scooter/bike good during startup . You can ring open the throttle after a good warmup and this oil just delivers , I maintained my scooter's top speed for a pretty long time when I took a small 150km trip and still it was running like butter .
