Lenovo Thinkpad X230 Refurbished Laptop Core i5-3320M 2.60GHz 12.5" Widescreen Warranty Webcam (8GB Ram, 500GB HDD, Windows 10, MS Office Pro 2013)

For a refurbished device (from "AMAZINGOFFERS876" this laptop is in excellent condition. It seemed to be on when it arrived (sleeping) but it indicated it had 3.25hours of battery life. If you add a bit back for time between charging and getting it this suggested the supplied battery was in good condition. Lots of slots for sticking memory devices in.Whipped out the supplied hard drive in about 10 seconds shoved in an SSD and installed openSUSE but the tracking pad is a bit tricky. (Apparently it is a known issue with the original operating system too). It's solvable but a bit involved. Screen sharp, whole thing a bit heavier than I was hoping for, (especially the power supply) but a snappy laptop.

Great way to to get a cheap laptop. Much better than buying new for what you get. Product is as described by the seller. The only downsides are that the screen resolution only goes up to 1366 x 768 pixels and the speakers are a bit weak but I just use a bluetooth speaker for watching films or listening to the radio. I travel a lot and wanted a small, light laptop that wouldn't break my heart if anything happened to it. Plus you are recycling which has to be good.On a side note: I had to flash the BIOS to install Linux Mint which did destroy one of the RAM chips, who knows why. This has nothing to do with the product or the service from the seller of course. Just thought I'd mention it. Took out the offending RAM and replaced it and it works fine.

Sloppy oversight, amazing service.The product shipped to me with two problems: The battery was malfunctioning and only had a battery life of about twenty five minutes; And it shipped completely without a webcam.However, customer service was responsive and efficient and there were absolutely no problems with them replacing the battery and reimbursing me for the webcam. Also the refurbishing job they have done seems very good to me. I was very impressed.Although my particular product had snags, I rate the quality of their service as excellent.

Bought from Season Domestics.Firstly, customer service was excellent. Ordered the laptop on Sunday and received a phone call on Tuesday confirming my address and if someone would be in to receive the package on Wednesday. Delivered by Parcelforce.Laptop came as advised. The one I received did not have the IPS screen but I have seen far worse. Contained 3G modem, 4 cell battery with some life left and no fingerprint reader or backlit keyboard. OS installation (Windows 10 Pro) was not bloated (Chrome, Teamviewer and some Lenovo utilities/drivers installed) and almost completely up to date. Original hard drive a little loud before swapping it for an SSD. RAM installed was mixed vendor but working in dual channel mode.Performance wise, this is still a perfectly capable and extremely portable laptop, especially if you purchase with or install an SSD. Memory wise, 8gb is a safe choice unless you know you need more.My one gripe is that the top cover was repainted by the seller. On delivery, had a clear propellant smell which disappeared after a few hours (not an issue). I can understand why this was done (top cases usually are scuffed and are covered with asset stickers where I work). While I would usually be happy with this, there was overspray onto one hinge, the branding and over the rear indicator lights. This was removed in a few minutes using a scalpel but still loses a star.

This product is advertised as coming with Windows 10 Pro, however the laptop I received included a CRACKED copy of Windows! Almost immediately after I started using it, my Anti-Virus detected AutoKMS, a known hack tool! Furthermore, the laptop doesn't have a valid Windows 10 COA sticker on it, just a Windows 7 OEM online activation code. It also comes with no recovery media.Delivery was also very slow - taking many days just to dispatch the item - not great for something that has Amazon Prime delivery as an option - I was expecting next-day delivery, but this took over a week to arrive!

OK, it's not new, it's refurbished and has a scuff or two but I swapped out the the hard hard disk for an SSD I had, installed Linux (I hate Windows) and it now boots fast, runs great in a nice small form factor. The i5 processor is an excellent choice, even if it isn't the latest generation. Why spend more for a new machine full of bloat-ware?

Good machine and bought for home use as very familiar with the keyboard from work.Original battery misbehaved and got very hot but supplier sent out an OE replacement without quibbling and this was received very quickly.So far so good....
