HP Samsung CLT-Y407S Toner Cartridge Yellow for CLP-325W; CLX-3185FW

This is my first time buying new color toner for my Samsung printer. I had no problems with my black toner, nor have I had problems with color toner for other lasers. I purchased a cyan, magenta, and yellow set of toners (each has a separate review here, but the text is essentially the same) and each had the same problem: toner powder on the plastic.The worst of the bunch was the cyan toner, which had a substantial amount of toner that seems to have worked loose and gotten all over the plastic. The yellow and magenta weren't as bad, but I should not be seeing much (if any) of this.I put them in my printer, and so far it seems to be working fine. I'm not having a lot of confidence about this. If this ends up all over the inside of my printer, I'm just going to buy another (non-Samsung) color laser. Please don't destroy my printer :(

This toner cartridge messed up my printer big time. It states on the packaging that it should work with my Samsung CLP-325W, but the printer locks up completely and blinks red from every LED when I insert it. I get a message on my computer screen that this cartridge is incompatible with my printer.This cartridge has the number Y407S/XAA. My previous cartridge has the number Y4072S/ELS, and it looks exactly the same. Both are original Samsung products.I’ve had to restart my printer and my computer, I have cleaned all the contact areas of the toner cartridge and the printer, I have unplugged the printer from power, I have gone back and forth between my old and my new cartridge several times, and the result is the same. The old Samsung cartridge works, this one does not. I have spent way too much time trying to make this cartridge work, and even now that it’s out of my printer, every LED on my printer blinks red. It didn’t do that before. I can’t make it go away, even with my old cartridge.I live in Europe, and I wonder if this is some sort of unannounced zoning restriction from Samsung (like in the old days when DVDs would only play on players on a specific continent.) If this is the case, Samsung really should warn costumers outside of USA. I had no bad intentions when I bought this original product.Zero stars, if it had been possible.

So, I guess Amazon didn't think my first review was "helpful" enough or wasn't glowing enough, so I'm re-writing my review to express nothing but the positive things about my purchase I had originally said, but less succinctly. Otherwise, it will not be posted to the product's reviews. (Ridiculous, I know!)What I had originally said was that I appreciated the fact that I was able to save some money on OEM toner cartridges on Amazon, versus purchasing from a retail establishment or through the manufacturer's online store.I found that I saved 20-25% off of MSRP buying purchasing them on Amazon and I got the same great quality product. (I am always skeptical of remanufactured or private label toner cartridges. My experience is that you just don't get the same performance and run the possibility of damaging your printer.)

For my two CLP-325W laser printers, when a color goes bye, bye, you must replace it. Those are the rules. For a while, the 325W's were going for a song. One i use for B&W, the other for color. Decent images for a low cost.This costs about $45. More images than from $45 worth of ink-jet carts.

Expensive product, but it works. This printer seems to kill ink pretty fast, but sure beats an inkjet. Colors come out great, used a ton of ink to print wedding invites.

This cartridge produces clean text and images in my Samsung CLP-325W. Perhaps even more importantly is the fact that the 3 others who dominate use of the same printer appear to understand my instructions (=Samsung's) on how to replace the cartridge themselves instead of waiting until there's zero ink remaining!Price increased slightly but not yet unreasonable.

This is exactly what it says it is and works perfectly for less than the local store prices. If you have a Samsung printer that uses these cartridges, you can't go wrong with Samsung brand replacement cartridges.
