The media could not be loaded.  Decadent, simply decadent. We received our box of cookies, which were elegantly wrapped, yesterday and didn't hesitate to unwrap a few of them and begin a taste test. My husband are both cookie monsters and both agreed that the peanut butter cookies were the best we've had in ages. No, they didn't look homemade, but rather had the taste of something one of my grandmothers could have made. They were soft, had a perfect peanut butter taste, and were homemade good.Next up were the jumbo sprinkle cookies, cookies that brought out the kid in both of us. Now these cookies are huge and equally big on taste. They were buttery and simply seemed to melt in my mouth. If anyone can eat a couple of those in one sitting, the more power to them. I keep going back to them, taking a nibble now and then. My husband enjoyed working on his with his cup of tea in the evening.The Linzer cookie had just the right balance of taste and was powdered sugar messy. This type of tart is naturally light and somewhat dry so a cup of tea is the perfect accompaniment. The tart is rather like a work of art and beautiful with those scalloped edges. There are only three different kinds of cookies in this box, but it's just the right "blend," so to speak, to satisfy anyone.I'm the recipient of one or two Harry & David boxes each year and the Dulcet reminds me of them. The packaging was perfect. The burgundy colored box was complemented by a matching ribbon with the Dulcet logo imprinted on it. A lovely Dulcet sticker held it all in place. Naturally it didn't take long to open it up. The cookies are individually wrapped, nicely nestled in a bit of burgundy colored straw and wrapped in tissue paper. Expensive? Most certainly, but a bit of sugary decadence can be the perfect gift now and then. I think any cookie fan would love this particular selection.Sample provided for review.
