HIM - Video Collection:1997-2003 [DVD]

(...) My dvd sounded EXCELLENT. As a matter of fact, of all the dvd's I have, the HIM Video Collection is the one with the BEST sound quality I even ever heard. Enough said. So I will go to amazon.com and leave a positive 5 star review so people know that the audio is excellent. Not even the Evanescence dvd I just bought "Anywhere but home" sounds as great as the HIM dvd.As for the videos, I'm happy I won't have to look at them in the internet anymore. I can watch it on tv. I just wish it had ALSN in it I love that video.The Making of's are freaking super hilarious I have seen them before in the internet, but nothing is better then watching them in the comfort of your home, in a big screen and high volume All I have to say is that I laughed my butt off all threw the night. Bam has got to me the funniest guy in the world. There were even scenes added that i had not seen on the internet beforeThe interrogation was AWESOME. Ville was talking and everything and I felt like a 10 year old schoolgirl gushing over him. It looks like it took place when they were making the Solitary Man video. Anyway, great dvd, I am happy and ect.There is an egg in the DVDGo to Interrogation, after Bam finishes speaking, Jimmy Pop appears again for the 2nd time. Right when Jimmy is saying "We both blown pagan bikes squads" click "enter" on your remote control. Right then and there it will take you to the egg. I will describe the scene. First thing you see is Ville laughing his butt off. The scene takes place in Bam's house, there in that skateboard rail thing in his room, Jimmy Pop is wearing Spongebob Squarepants underwear, and he is trying to skateboard 'Bam style'. So Jimmy is in his underwear, Ville is laughing because Jimmy is trying to skatboard and he just falls on his butt Then the camera goes to Ville's face and Ville makes a comment about the Spongebob Squarepants, and the scene goes to Bam and Jimmy trying to skateboard together. Looks very gay but funny. Of course, Bam and Jimmy fall on their butts, and Ville is sitting down laughing hard. Ville's hair is tied back, he's wearing a green scarf. Jenn is there, and the whole Viva La Bam bunch.The only complaint I have is that the words in the menu bar are really small. I had to get my reading glasses to read the menu. I remember someone saying that In amazon.com but I thought they were kidding. Not kidding. The letters are really small.But other then that, excellent dvd. Really happy with it.

[...]after reading most of the reviews, i was expecting terrible sound quality but acutally, its not so bad, it might not be the best sound quality available but it certainly isn't painful to listen tothe fourth wall is hilarious and the interrogation footage is a must have for any true him fansome have complained about the videos for and love said no and solitary man not being on the dvd, this is because those videos were both filmed after the dvd came out...rabid him fans (ie. myself) can get ahold of this footage on the bonus disk of seasons 2/3 of viva la bam...basically that includes the video for and love said no and the making of and love said no, which is also the making of solitary man...kind of, at least it has footage of the shoot in therein conclusion, the dvd was well worth the money i paid for it and I'm going to say that it's a must have for any him fan since its the only legal dvd available in the states and any dvd's bought from overseas most likely won't play on your computer or dvd player unless you have a region 0, which many people don't have

most people don't like HIM because they think he sounds like a girl or because he comes from a foreign country that usedto be communist and also because he isn't hard enoughand because they think that love metal doesn't exist.but to me i dont give a sh*t i think HIM is the best bandon planet earth.When i first heard of this band when i wasin germany they were saying on the radio in berlin that HIMis having a concert and than they played one of his songsand also announced that they were going on sale.They played "JOIN ME IN DEATH" and i absoulutley fell inlove with HIM'S music i baught tickets to HIM'S concertand when i got back to the U.S. i baught every single one of hiscd's and then i got this d.v.d. most people think thatthis d.v.d. sucks but i think it rocks.but you are allowedto think w/e but i love HIM and if your asking if i reccomendthis product the answer is YES!!!.

Being a H.I.M. fan, I wanted to own everything of their's that I could. Since I began listening to H.I.M., I've managed to purchase all four of their albums (Greatest Love Songs No. 666 is still on its way). When I found that Amazon had a H.I.M. DVD available for download, I knew I had to buy it. Then I read the other reviews from those who have seen the DVD. Many of them complained of the quality but I figured, maybe it's just them... If it's a H.I.M. DVD, it will be great. I was sadly mistaken.The DVD itself (as the title says) is a video collection spanning over six years. The DVD contains twelve videos to popular H.I.M. songs. Two of the songs do not feature their actual music videos, they are mere pieces of live footage pieced together.The quality of the videos is almost sickening considering this product is a DVD. Many of us would expect a video and audio track that is clean of hissing, crackling, and is at least in vivid color and two-channel stereo. The video for all of the videos is worse than the videos that I downloaded from other H.I.M. fans. The audio, just as many others have said, is featured entirely in left-channel mono. THERE IS NO STEREO ON THIS DVD. It's sad really...The songs that are featured on the DVD all many of the popular tracks from H.I.M.'s other albums. The songs themselves make-up for the lacking quality of the DVD itself. It's nice to have video that goes along with such great songs.Overall, if you're a H.I.M. fan, I'd recommend buying this DVD simply because it's so cheap. For under $10 you can't go too wrong. Despite the quality of this DVD being garbage, I am still happy that I now own this treasure.
