I bought some to grow for my rabbits and it was just seeds, no bugs. It's growing well now and we should get our first cutting soon.

Can I use it for my mini pony?

The seed I bought did not germinate or grow. You can use it for your mini pony eventually. The conservation dept. advises you plant it and wait a year for it to mature before you put livestock on it or it can founder your pony. I hope this helps.
