Aprons: Icons Of The American Home

Older book so a bit discolored but I don't care one bit. I am enjoying the history, quotes and apron pictures. When I'm done, it will be a nice gift for my sister who collects aprons. Sshh, don't tell her!

I make vintage style aprons and this book tells the history of aprons. Love to read it and see the pictures. The book wasn't in the best condition but it serves it's purpose.

I bought this as a host gift along with a material apron to go along with it. The host really enjoyed her gift.

Joyce created a masterpiece that has since set the standard for all other apron books to follow. Excellent photos and historical information was so informative, entertaining and interesting. It's my handbook for when I make my vintage apron reproductions!

I really like this particular book on aprons. I consider it to be a sewing / design library staple. I lent the book out and never got it back, so I ordered another copy, pronto!

i am writing an article on clothing of the 50s and this was a wonderful resource for the always present aprons. gives a history plus many examples of aprons in different decades.
