SkagenHagen Slim Minimalist Three-Hand Watch, 34mm

This is a beautiful watch.I have been a huge fan of Skagen since the introduction of their very first watch. Skagen, along with Movado, has owned clean, minimalist watch design since they first came on the scene, and I love that their newest designs seem to be harkening back to that original design ethic. Since my original Skagen watch from the 1990s has never really gone out of style, I expect that this watch will also retain its classic look for a long time.Although this watch has a fairly large face (1 3/8" in diameter), the band, which is just shy of 1/2", is thin enough to look good on thin wrists where other watches can look gigantic.The midnight blue face with tiny crystal, or crystal-like, dots marking the hours, gives the watch a lovely bit of dress-up, but this watch would look just as smashing with jeans and a chunky sweater.The mesh band is easy to adjust and it has a double clasp to make the watch stay securely put.Bottom line: a beautiful watch with classic design bones

I really love this watch. It is simple and elegant, not too big but also not too small. The face of this watch is so pretty and feminine, I really love the accents of color in the seconds dial. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was going to purchase the Kate Spade watch but decided on this one due to negative reviews about the KS watch. I'm glad that I went with this watch. Also, I really love the mesh band and the fact I can easily adjust the size of the band at home, instead of taking it somewhere to do this.

This watch has a clean uncluttered appearance making it easy to quickly read the time of day at a glance. There are no numbers on the face, only marks at the traditional five minute increments. There are no marks for individual minutes. The second hand on the small dial moves in discrete one second steps, not a smooth continuous motion. I think there is a version where the seconds dial is replaced with the day of the month. There are quite a number of different finishes for this watch style and most are less expensive than this model. So you might want to research the other variations to select the appearance you like the most.I believe the watch wrist band is both the best and least desirable part of this watch. The best part of the wrist band is the ability to adjust the band in any increment you wish to get the perfect fitting size you desire. Overall, I think the wrist band is too diminutive – disproportionately narrow for the size of the watch body itself, but also the thickness isn’t balanced well either. The main body of the watch is considerably thicker than I prefer for a women’s watch. If the watch body is thick, I think the band should also be bigger to balance out the appearance – or transition from larger to smaller. You may not agree. This is one purpose of a review – express different opinions.At first I thought I liked the small second hand in the bottom half of the watch face, but now I realize I prefer a full size second hand. I wish the watch had a backlight to read the time in the dark. The overall quality and finish of this watch appears to be excellent. I don’t see anything that would make me think otherwise. I sent back first watch I had ordered because it kept coming open and falling off. I wore the replacement watch for a few weeks. It opened a few times eventually it fell off and is lost for good. I love Skagen watches on the whole However this one was a bust. We only order leather bands from now on.

I really love this watch! I have been wearing Skagen watches for years because of their simple yet classic design and light weight. This watch fits those criteria perfectly. It is very elegant. I also love the separate second hand. I am so glad that I purchased it and would highly recommend.

Good quality, but the wristband has a little spring-loaded nub that slides in to release the wristband from the watch. I didn't like that it protruded (towards my wrist) and I also thought it might open accidentally. I lose watches with non-replaceable bands! So I returned it.

Great design like most Skagens. Bigger dial makes for easy telling time. Gave it to my mother and she loves it.

The watch was ideal. However, the clasp on the watch strap was poor. It is difficult to lock shut and continuously came undone. If this design fault could be rectified it would have proved to have been the perfect gift. As it is I am returning the watch to the vendor today.

Lovely watch, very comfortable wear but I do find the second hand a distraction at first glance it’s easy to confuse with the minute hand.
