I am an Alpine race coach and beer league racer. I am always looking for a fast wax. I have tried all the major brands. Another coach suggested One Ball X-wax, cold, for night training and racing. I loved it. I bought the cool to try for day time. I live in Tahoe where day time snow temps are in the upper 20’s. It is fast and lasts. It’s a 2 part system. 2 to 1, colored wax to the additive. Melts in nicely, scapes and brushes with ease. One Ball offers the bulk packages on there website. I would highly recommend this wax.

This is a fast wax system. I use it mainly for night racing. It works great on cold fresh snow also. I vary the amount of black wax to the color, I use more black on really cold nights and less on moderate temps. The cooler blend kicks ass in daytime. I did my wife’s skis and she loves it. Glides well in the flats. I definitely recommend you try it.

It is nice and slick but fades pretty fast. This is for racing only. Don't buy it if you want it to last more than 8 hours.I still go back to my (disappearing) supply of Dakine all-temp even though I think Dakine equipment sucks based on how long my $90 Dakine snowboard gloves lasted (less than 30 on-mountain days). P.S. My Swanzy gloves have lasted at least 200 on-mountain days (with some sewing). Don't buy gloves with plastic EVER.

This wax is incredible, and slide and slide and slide, even on the flattest cat tracks that stop everyone else. The longevity of the wax was also very good. After the first day loss of speed, it stays consistent good for another week easily. I only did 10 days on the wax, but I didn't need to re-wax. Definitely use the black stick first and try and get the old wax off.

This wax provides excellent glide for a very reasonable price when compared to the European waxes. It irons on and scrapes off as easily as any other cool-weather wax and has a pleasant fragrance as well. While the manufacturer claims it can be used as a rub-on wax, it is a somewhat harder wax that I found difficult to work with a cork, so ironing definitely is the way to go. On the mountain, I found myself easily passing other skiers on catwalks, and the X-Wax lasted as well as other waxes I've tried.
