Alive and Well: One Doctor's Experience With Nutrition in the Treatment of Cancer Patients

I would rather not recommend this book as an introduction to the cancer treatment with vitamin B17. I would suggest to read first  World Without Cancer: The Story of Vitamin B17  to have a broader perspective on cancer treatment with vitamin B17.Dr Binzel tells us in this book his story of 400 cancer patients he treated with vitamin B17.The most spectacular patient history in this book is from Grace Laman, who survived more than 18 years - by the time of publication of this book - the most dangerous cancer we know : cancer of the pancreas. With surgery and/or radiation and/or chemotherapy, the chances of surviving more than one year - ONE YEAR - with cancer of the pancreas are about 1 in 10.000. Grace Laman was still ALIVE AND WELL after 18 years on vitamin B17 therapy !What makes this book very interesting are the statistics worked out by Dr. Philip Binzel, comparing the patient survival percentage of his patients, five years after treatment with vitamin B17, with the survival percentage of patients treated by "orthodox" methods.Treating a primary cancer with B17 shows a patient survival rate of 87.3 % of Dr. Binzel's patients, vs. only 15 % of the patients treated by an "orthodox" method.The difference increases substantially with metastatic cancer. In this case vitamin B17 shows more than 60 % patient survival after 5 years, compared to only 0.1 % with "orthodox" methods...Complementary reading is Dr. Richardson's  Laetrile Case Histories: The Richardson Cancer Clinic Experience  would treated 4.000 cancer patients in his clinic.Ultimately, YOU are the only person on earth really concerned in your own health.Question the authority of your doctor - the man in the white coat. He is not that wise as he wishes to project himself. He was educated at university always to prescribe patented drugs, and he participates, the whole length of his professional career, in conferences and congresses in exotic resorts all over the world, paid by Big Pharma, who want him to continue to push their newest patented drugs. So don't expect him to agree with (cheap) vitamin B17-treatment.On top of that, doctors will always focus on the size of the tumors, not on well being or life expectancy. Dr. Binzel says : "In my medical training, I remember well seeing patients who were getting radiation and/or chemotherapy. The tumor would get smaller and smaller, but the patient would be getting sicker and sicker. At autopsy we would hear, 'Isn't that marvelous ! The tumor is gone!' Yes, it was, but so was the patient."Ultimately, it's your choice.

Very educational on alternative cancer treatment!!

If you purchase the book "The World without Cancer", you need this one as well. It kind of goes along with the other book. It has alot of information on nutritional therapy and I would advise to read it. I am a RN and there is stuff in there that even I didn't realize and it has really opened my eyes. With having a strong family history of cancer I want to take every precaution I can to prevent myself from having to deal with it. But if I do I have the information I need to make good choices about my treatment. Recommend it highly!!!!

I have used the contents of this book to fight successfully my second cancer. The first breast cancer was treated with surgery, radiation and hormones. I was not pleased with the outcome. Eleven years later I had a recurrence in the opposite breast. The second time I and my alternative care MD used Dr. Benzel's method as outlined in the book. Now the cancer has recurred in the same breast as the second time. Not going into too much detail, I believe I know the reason why the cancer has recurred in the same breast for a second time. As I said at the beginning, I'm more or less "winging it". If you check my previous record of purchased copies of this book, I have lost count of the number of copies that I have bought and given away free to interested individuals.

One of the best books I've read recently. I have stage 4 colon cancer and have been going through chemo for the last year. The diet and supplements recommended in this book have change things a lot. My recovery time after chemo is much faster and I feel so much better.The book is easy to read and understand. It gives really eye opening information considering the FDA and cancer research.

This book is excellent! Our son was given a prognosis of 3 years to live following his surgery for a brain tumor. We took him to an alternative doctor who put us in touch with where to order the anti-oxidents & laetril noted in the book. He took the anti-oxidents along side his radiation & 2 years of chemo. If his tumor should ever return we'll order the laetri too. He had his surgery in late 2004! We thank God everyday! If you know someone with cancer buy this book for them today...you'll help save their life! Thank you.

This tells a little bit of the story of how our beloved government works against us citizens and attempts to destroy those who have a different opinion. But the best part is Dr. Binzel's summary of how he used B17 / Amygdalin / Laetrile to save people. Also includes a summary of his protocol. If you can not find this in print form, I am told it can be found in electronic form for free somewhere on the internet. I recommend the print version, but it has been out of print for some time.

This book is an essential read for anyone with, or being watched for cancer. It tells a remarkably believable story, especially for skeptics, of the truth of the causes and microbiology of cancer, an amazingly successful cancer treatment regimen based on those truths, and very scary government, big medicine and big pharmaceutical intimidation of this humble doctor who was successful in his attempts to help people discarded by those same governmental, medical and pharmaceutical elitists. Believe it or not, there IS hope for cancer patients, without the horrors of "tradition" medical treatments.

This was the first book i read when i was diagnosed with stage 3 squamous cell cancer in my neck. It gave my the advice to change my diet and what supplements to take, what to cut out (sugar and processed food etc) and start taking bitter apricot seeds & pancreatic enzymes etc (amongst a whole host of other things which i subsequently found would help me e.g. l-arginine, potassium bicarbonate (alkalize your body and salivia pH, immune system boosters e.g. Chaparral, shikitake raw mushrooms & AHCC, Ubiquinol (an easier absorbable Co-enzyme Q10), liposomal (& ester C) vit C etc, etc. Having probably had "cancer" for a number of years without knowing it i was diagnosed after surgery and biopsy of the side of my neck (11th August 2014). PET scan confirmed "my tonsils". After about 3 weeks of taking up to 30 apricot seeds and B17 tablets (following the regime) i had my tonsils out & biopsies..results - All negative! On the 10th Oct i had a MRI scan with contrast, today i got the result - All negative! So i am "clear" until proven otherwise. I am now vege / vegan and have a new life and body. I refused all chemo and radio therapy (why try to cure cancer with things which cause cancer!!!) My immune system is intact and getting stronger everyday. God bless you Dr P.E. Binzel.

This is an excellent, well written book, which first of all chronicles Doctor Binzel's fight against the FDA and then gives you his well respected diet and nutritional advice which seems to have saved the lives of many of his cancer patients, and prolonged the lives of others, whilst easing the pain. To any one who has cancer, or who has friends or relatives suffering with it, then I suggest this book would be a great present for them. Nothing can be lost by trying this diet, and everything is to be gained.

After reading this book I was then able to change my eating habits and improve my lifestlye. For anyone going through Cancer, a must read.
