Very sophisticated serviceable glass bottles with wood toppers.
Sofisticated serviceable glass little bottles with very original wood ball top, they are multiple ways to be used for example to stored different kinds of condiments or olive oil and vinegar, indeed the design is something to talk about and I'm happy to kept them for myself, they also are a great item as a gift for birthdays or holidays. On the minus side is for the packing since they come protect with Styrofoam and we all know that is not recyclable I will be very happy if the company who make them can use something more sustainable to protect this items please please please we all need to be more conscious about how to help our planet, little by little we can became the generation that will stop the horrific harm that we have done to our earth, maybe this comment should not be wrote in this review but we all have to take a step towards a better way to protect and implement our thoughts. I truly recommend this product since is even more beautiful in person you won't be disappointed.

Looks better on the counter than the cardboard box the wine came in :-)
This works well, looks okay (I'd prefer a more contemporary look but that's just me), and presents a whole lot better than a wine box sitting on the kitchen counter. Easy to fill, easy to handle, easy to pour from. Not that I drink a lot of wine or anything (moi?), but it holds enough that it doesn't require frequent refills. Another reviewer thought the glass was too thick; I found it to be appropriately sturdy especially for use on, say, a glass table or granite/stone counter. Thin glass chips or breaks easier than thicker glass and this doesn't feel prone to that as opposed to, e.g., a crystal glass. I do not drain it after each use and have noticed no unpleasantness from the wood stopper as another reviewer observed, even after leaving wine in it for a couple of days. If I do there is a glass stopper available on Amazon that I'll try but I'd recommend seeing how you like it as-is before you consider adding that. Nice little piece of dress-up for the low-rent oenophile.

Nice carafe, but check glass quality for tiny air bubbles! (+ cleaning tip)
We received the carafe about two years ago, but only discovered long after using it that the glass shows a tiny air bubble near the bottom (part where wine content covers it). This could conceivably cause to be a weak point, but it has nevertheless held up very well in daily use. The carafe is of relatively thin glass, but still very strong and has a very appealing form. The wooden ball holds up well and did't crack, but of course discolored slightly when coming in contact with red wine. That is not disturbing to us and gives some cachet to it.TIP: Some red wines may cause staining on the inside of the glass carafe, for which these fancy flexible brushes are being sold at the risk of breaking the carafe's neck. We have tried recommended alternatives, like denture cleaning tables, but find it highly ineffective and worry about the smell and residual taste. Please do what many experienced sommeliers do; use the amount of 4-5 finely crushed egg shells in some lukewarm water and swirl gently around. You'll see the straining disappear before your eyes and the carafe wil again be crystal clear. The entire process should take about five minutes or less, of course depending on the staining.

So far so good but it does drip.
So far the carafe seems well made and is certainly an attractive piece on the table. I'll give it a little more time and review again however , although others' feedback is contrary,I can't pour a glass of wine without a drip running down the side of the carafe.2/16/2016 - the carafe is holding up nicely. I use it a lot. :) . The pouring funnel certainly helps in the decanting process. The only problem, and I have it with similar bottles/decanters is that no matter what technique I use, I cannot pour it without a drip.

Exceeds expectations. A classy decanter for a reasonably low price.
Made in China for a Swedish company. Quality blemish-free crystal glass. Perfect size for a single 750 ml bottle of wine but it can hold more. The spout is thick and sturdy which makes it less likely to break or chip than thinner lip decanters. I highly recommend this decanter for its shape, easy of use and high class look. Dripping after pouring was not a problem. It comes with a removable wood ball that sits in the spout. It's basically superfluous since the purpose of the decanter is to let the wine breathe, not stop it up. It might be useful for keeping dust out when storing the decanter in a cabinet or on a shelf, but I won't be using it all.

Exactly like the picture
It’s exactly like the picture, medium size not to big but not to small. Just right . Makes the kitchen look better. Its hard to clean tho. I just spray soap and add a little hot water and shake it. That’s how I wash it. But over all I love it.
