The negative lead goes to the leg opposite the little LED light, the tall center peg goes to the positive load (motor or whatever you are switching) and the peg under the little LED light is where the positive battery lead goes. Any other wiring will result in a short and possibly a fire. DO NOT PUT THE BATTERY LEAD ON THE TALL PEG ... when the switch is turned off, it connects the tall center peg and the peg where the negative lead goes, and creates a short. Burn some wire and nearly ruined a 12V battery figuring this out!

Can't beat the price, work well in my trailer (image is of a sub panel and 3 of these switches surrounding it).HOWEVER, when the switch is OFF the load line is connected to ground (switch is SPDT between the hot input and the ground)! You can't parallel this switch with any other switch for a particular load or you'll blow the supply fuse (ask me how I know...)Otherwise these are nice switches. Drill a round hole, attach switch and go.

These are good switches for the lower power application I used them for. I wouldn't use them for anything high-current, or that requires rugged / high durability.

The wiring was easily diagrammed on the switch, it installed easily but when I went to tighten the lock nut on the back it stripped out the threads making the switch useless as there is no way to secure it in place. 2 of the 5 switches did this to me but I was extra careful on the next 2 and the easily rotate on the panel instead of staying in position.

I didn't like the original switch that came with my KC lights, it was just too bright (green). I thought these would be better since they're red. They are much easier on my eyes at night, since the light on the switch doesn't function. I've tried two out of the batch with no luck. All driving/spot lights function, but red rocker light doesn't. I will pull my dash apart to try the others sometime in the future, but for now I will just let it be.Well, the switch (I don't know where I put the others) lasted over 2 years. The rocker light did not work on any of them, but they all functioned as a switch. I finally decided to put a better switch in, with a working indicator light, even though this one was still working fine.

The switch works and the LED lights but not as shown on the wiring diagram in the listing. The picture on the Amazon listing shows the center spade connected to he Positive Battery terminal. The little sketch taped to the back of the switch (my picture) shows the center terminal as the Load. The difference is that when wired the way the picture on the Amazon page shows the fuse blows and wired the way the sticker on the switch shows works. My next purchase is more automotive fuses. It took me two to figure this out. Some switches may be different, look for the sticker on the back.

No schematic provided, added to listing after my first feedback but this is incorrect for the switches I have: wired as per listing results in short between + and - with switch off. For the switches I received - is end by led indicator, + is opposite side, load is center. I do not know if this differs between switches, the ones I received are blue led and labeled 15a, 24v.Yes, I found the voltage/current specs in bold print in the listing ... DUH!Seem to work ok when I figured out how to wire them ... led indicators are polarity-sensitive.

Poor quality, load side of the switch shorts to negative terminal when in the off position.NOT IN ANY WAY WATER PROOF.Avoid these.
