Are these toys or real? Can I hear a heart beat?

After buying one and reading reviews, here's what happens: it is a 2 directional stethoscope. The sound is not super loud, but it is there. The piece you place to listen can be twisted to change which direction you can listen from. If it's twisted the wrong way, you will hear nothing.

Does this look real? Is it adult size? I need stethoscopes for a movie prop. Would these work?

It is real and adult sized. Would be perfect for a prop.

Are these toys or real?

They are real, not the quality a medical professional would want to use all day, but great for teaching kids about their bodies or to put in your home medical kit. If you’ve never used a stethoscope give yourself a 10 minute lesson on you tube so you know how to properly adjust and use them. Both the ear pieces and the diaphragm need to be properly adjusted for good results. Also you need to know where to place it on the body to hear what you want to hear.

Could you hear a 3rd trimester baby heartbeat with these?

I don't see you not. It's the same type Nurses and Doctors use. I'm a Respiratory Therapist and use them. Now, let me end by saying I haven't tried them on a trimester baby/mother so there is that!
