If you have a laptop hooked up to a monitor and other devices, this product is a must. I had a prior unit but got this one to increase number of USB slots. Works fine. A possible issue is the blue and orange lights around the USB slots. You might not want this unit in a bedroom. I don't know how much current this draws. Probably not too much but it's on all the time. For travelling you might want a smaller device and no lights. I can't assess the electrical properties of this unit.

Plugged this in and it worked right away. I've been using it quite a while now and am very happy with the product. I would highly recommend this item, the three charge ports are especially helpful.

Most of the smaller hubs I've had don't work well. This one is really good. I like the blue and red lighting and the ability to keep my stuff plugged in but still cut the power on or off to each individual port.

Been using this thing for months now and I gotta say this is a great device for gamers.It's affordable and cheap and has more than enough ports to satisfy me.

I like it and worth it

So far after several weeks of use, it works as advertised. I use this to fill the lack of ports on my Dell Inspiron 3880 that I use for music. I have connected my Boss 505 MK2, Behringer X1622, MPK Mini and my Komplete s61 MK2 without any issues. Worth the price of admission.

I did a lot of "soul searching" when I decided to upgrade my array of six black circa 2015 USB 2.0 hubs, some of which had power supplies, and some didn't.My first thought was "I am NOT going to pay $36 for a USB hub, when my last 7 port hubs cost about $4.50 each!"I am glad I did, as when the two I ordered arrived, the build was high quality, the connections robust, the switches perfect and the LED indicator lights showed bright and consistent.It also came with a robust power supply that powers all the hubs at the same time with equal amperage and voltage, the 4 red LED lighted ports with slightly higher voltage and amperage to charge anything that can be charged from a USB port. All at the same time.I like my hubs and other equipment to be heavy enough to not move, unless deliberate, and not fall over with "pull" from the weight of cords, so my desktop has a lot of stuff Shoe Goo-ed to bricks, so I can move around stuff as my needs, or whim changes,I Shoe Goo-ed one hub to the to the top of two bricks made into an "L" shape, also Shoe Goo-ed together, and run 5 Webcams, a printer, and a mouse from the seven data points, and run 4 LED video ring lights on tripods from the four "charging" ports. All at the same time.The second hub I Shoe Goo- ed to the top of my electric paper punch (about the size of a Toaster), and filled the data ports with USB thumb drives so my iPhone 7 plus, with Lightning to USB adapter now has SEVEN outboard storage drives, and from the red LED power ports, I can charge two iPhones, power one LED ring light, and charge up two outboard iPhone power banks. All at the same time.I was so happy with the 11 port hubs I bought, I bought two more !

I purchased this USB hub in December 2018 and have been quite satisfied, but suddenly this morning, Sept. 18th 2023, it has been blinking (sound, not light) off/on constantly and is unusable.Has anyone else experienced this? Is 57 months a reasonable lifetime for such a device?

jai acheté en 2019 il me sert tout les jours pour changer mes périphériques .hdd,clée usb,imprimante.et il fonctionne toujours aussi bien pas de perte de contact, je rachette la meme choses demain si il brises.

El adaptador es muy útil para conectar muchas memorias usb, discos duros de 2 tb o para usar los 4 puertos de carga que tiene, sin embargo no detecta discos duros a partir de 4 tb. Me parece muy caro para que no detecte todos los discos que necesito conectar.

I have a laptop and one of the USB ports was failing so I looked to this as a solution (was looking for an externally powered usb hub to see if it could help). It worked right out of the box, it was plug and play. I currently have an external hard drive, an external CD drive, a midi cable, a keyboard usb dongle, a game controller usb dongle and an external graphic card (connected to an extra monitor) plugged into it and my (old-ish) laptop is not confused, everything is working perfectly. I also used one of the front ports to charge the game controller. It is well made and the buttons have a satisfying click...I just wish there was the option to turn off the indicator lights around each USB port because they are quite bright at night but they are useful to tell whether an individual port is turned on or off. Durability remains to be seen but, so far, so good. I am very happy with this purchase.

Ce Hub parrait très bien, et les interrupteurs associés à chacun des ports est très pratique. Le seul défaut, et c'est possiblement un défaut commun à tous les appareils de ce genre, est que la vitesse d'accès est coupée DRAMATIQUEMENT!J'ai utilisé une clé USB 3.0 de 128 GB (Lexar), que j'ai connectée directement à un port USB 3.0 (Sonnet Allegro USB 3.0 4-Port PCIe Computer Card), sur un Mac Pro 5.1. Le logiciel BlackMagic Disk Speed m'indique 80 MB en lecture ET en écriture. Lorsque je déplace la clé USB sur le Hub, je n'obtient que 27 MB en écriture et 32 MB en lecture...J'en conclue qu'il est préférable d'investir dans une carte PCIe plutôt que dans un tel HUB... Il est également possible que le câble liant le HUB à l'ordinateur soit de mauvaise qualité. Par expérience, je sais qu'un câble est souvent la cause d'un ralentissement (souvent par un facteur de 2 ou 3!). Il demeure qu'il est souvent utile d'avoir accès à un port USB sur le bureau plutôt que derrière un ordinateur (parfois difficile d'accès).

This is a great hub but there are two things that prevent it from getting five stars. One is that the permanently attached usb cord is too short. Should be at least a foot or two longer to reach from the desk to the computer next to it on the floor. So, hello shelling out more for an extension.The second is that in practical use, the labelling is upside down, unless you think reaching over your usb connections to reach the buttons behind them is practical.Other than that, it is great to have a switch for each connection and the hub seems well built. And the lighting looks cool.
