Special thanks to TopGeezer for providing excellent and easy to follow step by step instructions to supplement manufacturer's information booklet. TopGeezer also provided patient guidance and assurances. Must confess that I only opted for Freeview as the manufacturers of my trusted Freesat recorder had stopped making replacements. Professional installers could not resolve why the new Freesat recorder provided by them could not accept and resolve signal issues. The aerial output plug into the TV was providing an excellent Freeview video but the new Freeview recorder could not process this same signal data when aerial removed from the TV and inserted into the recorder. Followed TopGeezer's .important first stage. Not needing an aerial connection on the ground floor I was able to update the TV Box Pro directly to the router on the first floor. Connected HDMI cable from recorder to TV, aerial connection to recorder and its mains transformer. Easy to follow on screen instructions enable set-up to be completed. Large selection of stations shown from the device "Guide" button. Tested record system and all working well. Slight disappointment in that there seemed to be a deterioration in the image quality on both live and recorded programs. I had read warnings about not being able to fast forward adverts if I opted for Freeview via an internet connection. Needed to try this alternative because of the direct image quality. Fewer Freeview stations were available through the internet connection procedure but a random selection of those chosen provided a first class video images. No problem fast forwarding through test recordingss from several programmes recorded simultaneously from different channels. BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime checked and able to log on and receive high quality video Used a high quality coaxial cable to link from output of the TV Pro Box to the input of the TV. This provided high quality images to the TV when the Freview recorder is turned off Spent a little more time than expected to get a perfect installation and now very pleased with the end result

Very easy to set up instructions were very easy to follow all completed in 15 minutes. No need to get my granddaughter to do it for me!! Picture quality better than my old BT box

So far it has lived up to expectations. Simple to set up and navigate. One slight niggle to date, I had to do a reset as it froze. It was fine after, but I hope this was a one off.

Excellent product. Easy to set up. it is important to read the information that the seller sends out and follow the simple instructions. I have it connected to internet and aerial and works perfectly.

What a good buy! I decided to upgrade a recorder I bought from Amazon Warehouse about six years ago. Follow the instructions to the letter during set up. The seller TopGeezer was exemplary. The box is incredibly easy to use, and there is shed loads of space to record what you want. I was surprised at the size of the box - it is much smaller than I imagined, but size isn't everything, or so they say. I am using this with an old TV that is over 10 years old, and there have been no problems whatsoever. The box's remote control also turns on the TV and my soundbar, so no fiddling around with loads of remote controls - the volume can be adjusted, too. When watching recorded content with adverts you can forward in 60-second bursts which is helpful. The recording planning is very user friendly. The recording light on the front of the box is tiny and is not intrusive if you are using the box in a bedroom. So far, I can't find any faults. I have cancelled my monthly subscriptions to some channels because they are no longer needed. Win, win.

Arrived quickly, though the postie left it in an outhouse without letting me know. Very easy to set up, it was only done yesterday so can't comment too much but everything seems to be working well. If it continues as is, then I'll be very happy.

I've now spent many hours trying to make this thing do "what it says on the tin". I've enlisted copilot, the EE "help" pages, the built in "help". Still slow to respond, tells me that there is no signal from my aerial (The TV seems to think there is). Won't "find" ordinary TV channels (my TV can). Followed advice from other users (they tried to help, but the thing still really doesn't work). Everyone else seems to think it is the DB, so it "must be me". Truly disappointed.

Purchased to replace older Humax Freeview recorder provided by BT many years ago. - Used in conjunction with phone app for setting program recordings. Expected an updated improved model but have been disappointed by its poor reliability. Hesitation to remote commands, recordings not always carried out, having to reboot to clear screen freezes. All issues seem to revolve around poor software. (Firmware checked as latest release) Looking at the ‘Manhattan’ range as future alternative.
