SC60-16X25X2 MERV 11 Pleated Air Filter (Pack of 6), 16" x 25" x 2"

These are outstanding filters. I really like them. After running them for 6 months you can look at them and actually see a fairly thick layer of very fine dust caught on the inlet-side of the filter. In addition to these, we also run 3 air-filters in our home that pull dust from the air. This combination renders our home almost dust-free. It's not completely dust-free, but it's about as close as you can imagine for a home. We almost never dust (granted, our standards regarding dust control aren't as high as some people's) and the amount of dust that settles on our furniture is very, very low. We probably dust about twice/year, no joke (but it took a good 6 months or so to get the dust levels in our house that low).I would easily recommend these and after running them for 2 years, am back to buy them again.One little thing I noticed, though. This may not be a problem with the product, might be my too high expectations. These filters are designed for a long run-time. The instruction sheet says something like 4-8 months. At about the 4-month mark the dust gets so thick on them that I think they can't pass enough airflow and I hear my furnace start to rattle a bit. I've noticed if I vacuum them off then the rattle stops and everything is fine until I change them out (at the 6-month mark). Like I said, I don't know if this is just because I live in a desert (and admittedly don't dust) and no filter of this spec could possibly keep up for a whole 6 months, or if this product per-se is just lacking a bit. I'm kinda leaning towards it being caused by me and not the product -- but I don't yet have the experience to know (previous to these I have always just used the cheap 1-month filters).But, this issue aside, these are great filters. I replace them twice/year and for the cost/performance, I think that's pretty good. They are well-built and my new furnace still doesn't seem to have any excessive dust inside of it after 2 years.Once quantity is taken into account, these are a few bucks cheaper than their competitors. And these appear to be made by a small company than the others (which are mostly big national recognizable brand names), which I really like. Not the same thing as "buy local", but I like supporting smaller companies over multinational conglomerates. I like that because I think most of the time the employees are happier and better compensated.These will cost you about $9/each and if you run these for 6 months like I do, they wind up costing you about $1.50/month.Can't really beat that.

The pleats on these 2 inch (thick) filters are nice and wide. This creates much more surface area than a 1 inch filter. And this larger surface area will allow the filter to breath better. It will also allow more dust to be collected before the filter becomes clogged. The cardboard frame is very strong which prevents the filter from bending or crumpling. The actual (true) dimensions are: 15 1/2 inches wide; 24 1/2 inches long; 1 3/4 inches thick. You get 6 filters which makes this a pretty good deal.

My local home improvement stores did not carry this 2 inch filter size so off to Amazon as usual. I was going to buy a brand name multi-filter pack, but came across this buy from Midwest Supply. The filter quality looks like a quality construction, but hard to tell what MERV 11 looks like. Retail packaging was very generic with no description. However I trust MS from past purchases so trusting them again. Overall price was very cheap - less than $6 per filter. Shipping was free and extremely fast. Can't beat this deal.

Based on the high reviews, these filters should have been better made than they are. The pleats are not uniform, so some of the pleats are squeezed together and not spaced evenly, and the wire mesh backing is not cut evenly at the edges, so the wire and paper bunch at the edges of two of six of the filters I purchased. I cut the wire and the paper, so the filters would fit properly in the furnace space. I plan on looking for different pleated filters once these six are used up.

Filters the whole house. Less dusting and polishing over the winter months. The extra inch of surface gathers far more dust and dirt than the 1 inch filters.

These filters work great and last much longer than the standard 1 inch filters. No stores in Denver stock a 2 inch filter which is what came with our new Lennox furnace/ac

Seems to work well - the pleating appears irregularly spaced which probably does not affect the filter capability, but does not look nice.

Great price and convenience. My local hardware store stopped stocking 2 inch thick filters in my size, so this is great. Looks to be a good product.
