Mr. Monkey Bakes a Cake (1)

This one was an instant hit with my boys - so much so, that I had to hop on and write an immediate review. I would best describe it as Mr. Bean meets “Go, Dog Go”. It is simple, goofy and uncomplicated. The humor is classic and Mr. Monkey is lovable. Books like these have an indefinable quality that makes you love them when they could otherwise be considered boring. I think if you have children between 2 and 8, this is a win!

My five year old loves this story and reads it over and over.

I like this book because he put to many banana in the cake.I Iike the book because a bike rode by him and he drops the cake. I like wen the gril said I do not have a ribin .I like the part wen all of the birds say I want the cake! I like wen the monkey slip on the banana. Injoy the book. Sit on the cowch and eat popcorn and lisin to the book.

This is such a cute book! We recieved it in a literati book box and it has quickly become a favorite read!
