LOVE IT-BUT......
I feel as though its not a smartphone but it DOES require a data plan. I dont really know why though (maybe bc they consider it a 3G phone...?) but when you call to activate it... you have to pick a plan that requires data. They offer the $30 unlimted talk& text and WIFI* only plan. (note: this phone doesnt even have WIFI) $45 unlimted talk&text with 1 GB. $60 unlimted talk&text with 3 GB. The phone has a external screen and keypad and flips open to another keypad and screen. You can view your contacts, text, and view/listen to music, and I think something else(cant remember right now-lol) through the front screen but you have to open it up to do all the other stuff(internet, pic message,settings/tools, downloading) It's like a basic phone but just different design. Even though for some insane reason they require a data plan, the Env 3 is def. in no way a smartphone (not even a touchscreen) You can download music and games but they are def. not as good as on a Iphone or Android phone. Dont get me wrong, I love the env 3 phone. Great for texting. & ohh it also has a flash on the camera and visual voicemail, and etc. I just wish it wouldnt require a data plan bc I just really want it for texting and occasionally getting on fb. Really, if your gonna pay $45 for the prepaid data plan or more for this phone, you should just upgrade to a smartphone(touchscreen) atleast then you could use wifi to download all kinds of games, music, videos, & apps. Or even if you didnt use wifi it'd still be great to do all that stuff. But the Env 3 is still nice, esp. if you like the design and feel of a physical keyboard- The phone itself is great, and I enjoy using it.

Love the phone but hate the accessories
I had an LG enV2 and it was a great phone until I had to keep buying batteries for it so I switched to a different phone because Verizon did not carry this model any more. My daughter was searching Amazon and for this phone and I was so happy to go back to the enV phone. When I got the phone, it came without a battery. Once the battery was sent, it would not charge, so they sent me another battery which also would not charge. After trouble shooting everything, I found out the charger they sent was not for this phone so they sent out a new charger which again would not charge the phone. I gave up and finally found an old charger I had that worked. Will not order a phone from this company again.

Best available keyboard flip phone for Verizon
These are great phones with good keyboards. They are medium quality builds -- the battery contacts are poor and sometimes need adjustment for the phone to work properly. The screen material is soft and scratches very easily. They only hold 500 text messages. I don't know why they dedicated a bunch of room to media and skimped so badly on the text messages. They should have not even added mp3 files or a camera to this phone at all, and used the storage exclusively for contacts and messages.Nonetheless I really like these phones , used them for several years keep a couple in the drawer because they don't make em anymore....

It's just okay.
I primarily use this as a phone and as a phone it works well. The texting keys are arranged nicely and it's a very good phone for texting. I like to play music too but I was surprised that the music player wasn't as good as the Env2. Fewer options, not as easy to navigate...I was not impressed. Also, if a wake up alarm is set to go off while music is playing, it will sound the alarm while the music is still playing. That just seems wrong to me. I'm very disappointed in the design of the center button on the front-- it's much too easy to bump and activate/unlock. Stock ring tones are worse than the Env2. In fact they're probably the worst ring tones I've ever had. Similar to the Env2, when using it for pictures it's hard to hold without getting my finger in the way. I'm glad I bought it used and didn't spend a lot on it.

Like the phone, too bad it is no longer produced.
I like the phone a lot, only problem is the battery does not stay charged very long. The phone was new, but since it hasn't been produced in a few years, that's probably why the battery problem. The back of the phone is the battery, probably if I order a new back, it will just be something that has been in stock for a few years, so won't fix my issue. My phone is red, but according to Verizon records it's supposed to be blue, doesn't matter since it probably is out of warranty because of it being out of production.

Great little phone
This phone is easy to use and offers full flip up keyboard for fast texting. I also like that you can open the phone for larger screen and it sits firmly for hands free talking using the speaker option. I had one several years ago until I updated to a smart phone model. I purchased this one for my mom, since I really enjoyed using this model before. Some nice features, and easy to use / understand. I purchased a refurbished one this time, and the first one arrived in 3 days in wonderful condition. I had a problem with the item working correctly and the vendor answered within a few hours (it was even a Sunday!) Wonderful response, they sent a replacement out the next day, and it arrived very quickly. The replacement phone has some wear on the corners (not important to me), and seems to be working just fine after several days. I'm very impressed by the fast response and resolution from this vendor and would definitely use them again.

Arrived 5 days earlier than expected
The phone works fine on my Verizon Prepaid account. I bought it knowing it was in "very good" condition, although there are a few more scuffs on the screen and a chip out of the bottom, so I would have put it as "good" condition. Overall, though, very satisfied with the phone. It arrived 5 days earlier than expected which was nice as my other phone decided to freeze up permanently the day it showed up! I do love the physical qwerty keyboard.

Hope This one is still available when I need a new one!
my favorite phone ever - and I loved my KRAZR - but now I can text. It has a small profile and is very sturdy. Buttons feel great in the hand. I am still eschewing Smartphones - I don't want to walk though life with my head in a screen and have all the computer access I need without one.Sound quality could be better from what my friends tell me - but that's at their end and I think it is transmission not the phone - since they don't sound great to me either!
