Way overpriced, incredibly noisy.
Bought this from my local Cycle Gear. The color matched my bike and the price was right...I should have waited a few months before throwing down $229 for this helmet. The other reviews pointing out the build quality and wind noise don't even scratch the surface of how bad this helmet is. The top / front vents are constantly noisy when closed - but when I first turned my head with the vents OPEN, the sound was can only describe it as "tractor-trailer sliding down the highway on its side". It's terrifying, especially the first time you experience it.The visor feels like it's going to snap every time I open it. The tinted visor is a neat gimmick but it's cheap and difficult to clean. The nose and chin covers are similarly cheap feeling.Would not buy again; I may keep it as a spare but this brand / model should not be considered as your primary helmet.

noisy but . . .
I shopped for a closed face helmet for a long time. I'd been wearing an open face helmet for a while and finally had enough near misses with cars on the road that I wanted the extra protection.I bought the Strada because it checks all the right boxes, at a very low price. It exceeds ECE and DOT ratings. It's got removable foam. It's got a kevlar-fiberglass shell. And it's not any heavier than "top line" helmets I looked at that cost 3x as much.As many reviewers point out, the Strada is very noisy, especially above 50mph / 80kph. I was already used to riding with foam earplugs in, because I'd been riding open face anyway. The noise doesn't bother me with earplugs in.My typical rides are 2-4 hours, and I don't race. For what I need, the Strada is comfortable and effective.

Great helmet, for the first month.
Well after owning a variety of Sedici products I do have to say that this one seems to be held to the same standard as the rest of them. When I first got this helmet I really enjoyed it. I replaced my Bilt techno helmet that was replaced 4 times for flaws with this helmet + a Sena bluetooth kit. Unfortunately after about a month I began disliking this helmet a lot.For the first month, it was great. The noise was low, the padding fit tight everywhere and everything appeared good. Now about 2 months later I have the following problems....- The chin curtain is splitting like crazy. This allows the splits to flap in the wind and also lets wind / debris / bugs up into the helmet while riding.- The thing squeals like crazy. While riding I can not use the intercom because the wind squealing from an unknown area is overly loud to the other party.- The snap that holds the excess chin strap broke off. Not a huge deal but now the excess strap is always smacking the helmet flapping in the wind.- The wind noise after the first month got very loud. The helmet is the appropriate size for me I am certain. It's not a huge deal since no helmet is going to be silent but there are many out there that are much quieter for the price point.- The lowest padding does not stay tucked into the bottom of the helmet. It appears that the strips of plastic that hold it in just became weak already and let the padding slide right out.I wanted to like this helmet but with all these flaws, so soon, I can not recommend this helmet. I would expect these issues after 2-3 years of moderate to heavy usage but not after 2 months. How bad will it be in 2 years? Good thing Cyclegear has an exchange policy because over the next 5 year I will be going through a lot of these. This appears to be uniform with all Sedici gear.... short term. I had 2 pairs of the rapido leather pants. Both failed.... one the stitching at the knee ripped out after a week and the second one the button broke after 2 weeks. Now what would happen if I crashed wearing a pair?I also went through 2 pairs of the rapido gloves. The first and second pairs both let out in the fingers. If I went into a slide I would assume the gloves would separate leaving me vulnerable to serious injury.I would not purchase another Sedici product again after all these quality control issues unfortunately.

And the overall quality is not very good.
It is indeed very noisy. And the overall quality is not very good. I had a helmet for $199 before and if I compare it with this one, I would say, this is actually worth more like a $139. So it is way overpriced for this kind of a quality.

So uncomfortable for the price
Mi Son gave to me the Sedici Strata Parlare Bluetooth Helmet. Nice design but when you wear it to ride is to noise than at times you want to stop on the side of the road and trow it away. Can’t use the Bluetooth device because the noise don’t let me hear nothing not even when my phone is ringing. Is any way to fix it please?

Very noisy
Only gave it 3 stars cause I didn't die in an accident I had. But this helmet is noisy as hell! And as another reviewer said, the chin guard/plastic is not holding up well

Great helmet for the Price
I didn't buy this from here nor do I have the black version, but I do own this helmet. Very good helmet. Comfortable and not heavy for the size.. Just bought a mirrored visor and it looks awesome with my WHITE helmet.
