Komar 8-999 Still Life Wall Mural, Black

A little tricky to apply. Would buy glue from a home goods store. But beautiful and dramatic effect.

Though I read the reviews I still went and got this anyway. If you read the reviews and decided to purchase, please prepare to return it. It is as bad as the reviews said. It crumbled. It doesn’t come with adhesive so prepare to purchase containers of adhesive. Something that supposed to be so beautiful looks so disgusting on my wall. It’s going back in pieces.

I wasn’t expecting wallpaper once I read the review so I wasn’t disappointed. It’s true that it does not come with any adhesive so I bought some. I was able to hang it on my own. Even with my mobility issues and physical difficulties. It took about five hours but I took my time and had to rest between panels. So my expectations were pretty low and I was not disappointed. The one thing that I did find aggravating was that the photo did not have a 2-3 milli overlap as it says on the back of each panel. Actually it had zero overlap. If I didn’t butt it right up to the previous panel it wasn’t going to match. This caused some issues as I needed a bit of wiggle room on some of the panels since my walls are not straight and plumb. It took a lot of manipulation for the paper to get this to meet up at the seams. But it’s up and it does look decent.

1) The lovely German couple in the intrusion video make it look soooo easy and it is not. If you are installing this on a completely flat surface and will not be trimming it to fit door frames, window frames, a lower ceiling, etc., it's undoubtedly very simple to put up. However, add in any of those obstacles and it's a challenge. I wrapped it around a wall that also has a door in the middle of the space. It worked but took a good bit of patience and lots of measuring and trimming. I expected that but I didn't expect a 2.5 hour project from this.2) The other issue is that the paper is pretty delicate. Going around a corner, one area ripped. Although I was able to match the two sides of the tear together fairly well, the white back of the paper is very obvious along the black front of the tear.3) The paper also stretches a little bit when it absorbs the adhesive which made a few areas hard to line up and a few other areas hard to work out air bubbles from.4) The print job is super delicate. In trying to smooth out air bubbles, I made the mistake of using a rubber squeegee that stripped some of the print off. I then employed a barely damp rag to smooth the air bubbles. This worked better but was not fool proof. Again, some of the print was rubbed off.Pros: despite these issues, I'm still happy with the end result. The colors look gorgeous and very vibrant. It created a dramatic impact in the bright white space I put it in. For less than $100, the value makes the installation flaws and challenges acceptable. I never expected it to be anything permanent. Had I paid someone a lot of money to install high end wallpaper, I'd be pissed, but a little user error isn't so bad for an inexpensive project that will someday get redone (professionally with high end wallpaper).

Shiny finish reflects all imperfections. Hard to install. Disappointed! Wish I’d paid more for Perl and stick. Penny smart pound foolish.

I ended up drawing out a grid on the wall once realizing how challenging it was going to be to get these pieces to align just so. In hindsight, I should have had a beer or two before attempting to install.

A nightmare to place on wall and literally it feels as if it’s paper! A waste!

I have hung a lot of wallpaper and this is nothing like wallpaper. It is impossible to hang. Modern wallpaper is solid vinyl which gives it some weight and the ability to slide it around, as well as a bit of stretch. This mural is not that at all. It is paper...you can't position it, slide it, stretch it or smooth it. If you really have your heart set on a mural, contact a professional wallpaper installer and ask if they would be willing to tackle this.I ripped mine down the next day and painted the wall instead. Very disappointing.

Sieht sehr schön aus, genau wie beschrieben. Aber leider ist das Papier so dünn, dass es sehr schwer war, es an die Wand zu bringen.Es ist einige Male ein wenig eingerissen.Etwas festeres Papier und es wäre perfekt!

Behang is zeer slecht te verwerken. Het behang hobbelde al wanneer je het met behanglijm insmeerde. De lijm zat er ook niet bij.. terwijl dat wel in de beschrijving staat.

Die Anbringung war ok - zu zweit ist das machbar, aber ich finde die Tapeten zu breit - besser wären mehrere lange, schmale Tapeten, die einfach nur nebeneinander tapeziert werden müssen (das hat mit einer anderen Fototapete super funktioniert!).Und: das Papier ist sehr dünn - beim zurechtschneiden am Ende reißt es ein.Im Großen und Ganzen stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht - kann ich gar nicht weiterempfehlen.Wird das Zimmer nur indirekt beleuchtet, siehts aber gut aus.

Ich habe gerade 2 von 8 Teilen angebracht und die Tapete ist eine reine Katastrophe!!!Ich und meine große Familie bezeichne/n mich als Profi, da ich Tapetenwechsel liebe und sehr oft neu tapeziere.Diese Tapete ist das Schlimmste, was ich je an die Wand brachte! Die weicht auf und wird, wie Teig, sehr dünn und schlabberig! Man sieht jeden Knick, das Muster lässt sich nicht zusammensetzen, da die Ränder ausleihern und ein sauberer Ansatz nicht möglich ist! Durch das Durchweichen, was nach Anleitung 3 min. der Fall sein soll, geht auch die Farbpapierschicht beim glattstreichen sogar ab!Sehr enttäuschend, denn ich habe mich sehr darauf gefreut...Spart Euch das Geld, denn die Qualität zu dem Preis ist eine Unverschämtheit!Da war meine Büro- Fototapete für ca. 40 € wesentlich hochwertiger... Mein Wohnzimmer muss ich wohl neu planen 😡
