Seed Coat 8oz - Treats 50lbs Dry Seeds - Water Saving Coating Mix for Plants Grass Landscaping

I have purchased Soil Moist before and it came in a jar labeled 8 oz, so that's what I thought I was getting. This arrived in a plastic bag inside of another one, neither having a zip lock to re-seal it. If I didn't happen to still have my old jar, it would be very inconvenient to use. But I was able to empty the bag into the jar, only to find that it just filled the jar half full. I don't remember that being the case when I purchased it before, but I think that at nearly $20, the price is steep for a full jar, much less half of one. I looked at the Amazon listing to confirm that I ordered the right size, and it was less than clear; said 8 oz at the top, 9 oz under "about this item,' and a bullet below said "cost effective 2 oz treats 12 lbs of seed." And the plastic bag didn't have a label affixed to it, leaving me wondering whether I received the quantity I paid for. There's also product clinging to the sides of the inside bag after emptying it, and at this price, I don't like wasting ANY. As to the product itself, I bought it again to give myself better odds of grass seeds germinating, though I guess I don't really know how well it works since I haven't planted seeds side by side, some with it and some without. I definitely haven't gotten full germination using it, but there are too many variables for me to really assess whether and how much it helps.

Kentucky bluegrass germinated in 6 days. Can't say for sure it was this coating but it surely didn't hurt

Did an overseed on my front and back Lawns! Not sure if it worked but gave it a try. Grass came up beautiful! It's hard to tell but follow instructions on bag & good luck!

I used this on some fine fescues that the seller said would require 21 days to germinate. After 6 days I had grass emerging. Full disclosure, I did use another seed coat product in conjunction with the SoilMoist. I'll never sow another seed of grass again unless it's coated with SoilMoist and DeltAg.

Great Product

Used to coat seed for lawn renovation. It's hard to go out and look at an individual seed and say "yeah it worked". I use this stuff based on recommendations from very experienced people when seeding.
