The quality was better then expected.

I use this for both my photography kit and for video calls online. It works great for adjusting angles both with my camera or more often for other accessories (lights, reflectors, etc). I'm very happy with this adjustable arm and would recommend it to others.

Microphone, camera, light, reflector panel, teleprompter - this thing is so useful. I have it mounted to my VIVO monitor stand holding my Sony a7ii for livestreaming, and it's the most convenient thing ever. (obviously i don't have the 3-4 cables hanging from the camera in this shot, so you can see the arm in action.)I wish I had 5 more.****** UPDATED 5/9/2021 - Unfortunately every plastic part on the arm has started to crack and split in the 4 months i've been using this magic arm. Now one of them is nearly splintered in two, even though I only mount a 11oz light on it most of the time. The only part on the entire thing that's plastic, and it's failing horribly. Very sad about it, so reducing the overall score to 4. Be gentle on the plastic parts or they'll break.

I was afraid after reading all the negative reviews. It looks like this item won't work for anything too heavy, but it does work for my Takstar shotgun mic. It's pretty much perfect for what I need it for. The arm doesn't budge at all, but the base can start to unscrew if you don't put it on tight enough. I've used it fairly often and no problems yet

The handle part cracked and can't tighten the arm anymore. I'm going to try to find a sturdier knob thing to replace it.

I can’t believe it toke me this long to find this amazing little thing I’m using as kind of a boom arm for my elgato wave 1 with shock mount and so far it works great

The idea behind this is solid, but three knobs in a row arrived cracked, and the design of the knob is clearly to blame. What I don’t understand is they use metal for the vast majority of the rest of the item but settled for a cheap plastic knob that is lightly pressure fit to a simple metal nut.The first time I thought I might have broken the knob, so I ordered a new one at my cost. When this one arrived before touching anything else, I examined the knob, taking the pictures included in this review. I returned it asking for a replacement, and got a third item with similar cracks!The funny part is, a simple tack welded metal knob wouldn’t have this issue and would make this a fantastic item! I’ve settled for using a wrench on the nut for now, as the knob is useless, and will be using a friend’s welder to tack on a simple metal knob. Still, that I have to do that myself to make the product useful is reason enough for the review.Good designed ruined by settling for a cheap plastic knob.

Purchased this arm back in August to use for event shooting to hold a small LED panel. Initial usage was great and what I needed, however, after about 6-7 months or regular use the components started to fail. One of the ball joints seized completely being unable to articulate. The main elbow began to loosen on itself and would lose rigidity if I didnt continuously tighten it. Additionally the knob is a plastic which cracked after I got frustrated and try to torque down on it (my fault). Definitely a handy tool to have in your bag, just dont expect it to be as durable after time.
