Text on wave modeling
The preamble describes this book as an introductory text for physicists or oceanographers interested in wave modeling. It is actually a grade or two above the introductory, since it assumes knowledge of frequency domain analysis, regression, and other statistical techniques. Despite this, it is actually very clear, lucid, and well-written. It provides a good summary of the major work that has been done in this field. The chapters cover the main statistical concepts, and the spectral representations used to model waves in shallow and deep water. The final chapter reviews the SWAN (simulating waves near shore) model, a sophisticated simulation system that is widely used in oceanography.

It's a good reference for graduate/postgraduate students that specialise in coastal engineering/modelling, used this book for my PhD and still using it now for my job. Excellent!
