The lamp is gorgeous. Having said that, the instructions are not great. They give you the values for the British cable, which we all know but not the values of the black or white cable, which we might not know.I was told by the company representative that the 3 cables need wiring and there were I indeed 3 little connection boxes supplied and the instructions show to use those. However, the lamp came already wired correctly.To add to the confusion this item is listed as 40/60 Watt, so I understand this to mean either or. However the cable sticker inside says max 50 Watt.I had bought the lamp together with the 60 Watt vintage bulbs as advertised. The 60 Watt blew instantly so I don’t know where the fault lies - either the bulb or the light, which says max 50Watt, which you find out after you have bought it.I can use the vintage lights elsewhere so not too much of a headache. I bought a 40 Watt LED light and hey presto, it’s fine and gives enough light for my dressing table.There is an on/off dial switch on the shade, which is just as well because contrary to the image on Amazon the cable switch is at the bottom near the plug, which is behind my dressing table. Maybe not a problem for some and the cable can be disassembled and turned around but that‘s fiddly and not the point. I like to get what I’ve ordered and it was not quite right.All in all, the product is pricey for what it is but it does look very good and moreover nobody else seems to sell these so they have a captive market.

I got these for this Mrs as she's been going on for ages! Finally put them up over the weekend. Installation is straight forward. Only gripe was the cable choc block supplied was pretty naff. I used a screw one rather than the push down one supplied. Also as I ordered 2 of these lights one had more cable from the switch to the light but the other one was very short and unfortunately the switch is very close to the actual light itself. Not great but we can live with it. Photo attached. Overall really nice lights.

Good lamps, come with a very long cable and they look lovely. Rather larger than I was expecting but I love them. Packaged very well by manufacturer too!
