Dosage Calculation Workbook: Math Review and Practice for Nurses

The book was relevant to what I was looking for. Cots very easy to understand and maneuver through!!

Saved my life in nursing school. The book I had from the school bookstore confused the @#$=÷ out of me. I spent one evening bringing myself right back to day one of Pharm and used this book to write new notes. I passed the class with a very decent grade

First thing in the book is a math test to determine where you need work. I got one wrong so I worked on that chapter, then went on to the dosage calculations chapters. I drove myself a little nuts on one problem, (in the chapter in decimals) then discovered there was a typo meaning the solution would not match the answer. The dosage calculations chapters are a great review. School insists I use dimensional analysis so I do what I was taught and arrived at the same answer. I tested and only worked on what i needed. The book is designed that way. All in all very pleased.Just as a follow up. I had my once a semester math exam today and got 100. This book was a great refresher.

I thought this was a dosage workbook. It's more like a textbook with problems. If you are trying to learn about dosage this is for you. I wanted to practice scenarios.

saying i love this would be like saying i love math - cannot do that - but the book saved my but for the math portion of the nursing exam so yes - it's worth it for sure!

I bought this as a homeschool math workbook for my 8th grader hoping it would help me teacher her real-world math. Wow! I was surprised it in fact does cover real math, but starts at a beginner level so anyone can learn using this workbook. I am going to buy another for myself so we can work along together since it is so ideal. The information to learn is information anyone can benefit from reviewing or learning.

This was a wonderful book. I used this in addition to my regular textbook, which was confusing and difficult to understand. This book simplified the concepts and expained in simple terms how to solve the problem...and explaining why I was doing each step. Helped me get a 92 in the course. I might not have passed without this book. It was also shipped fast and in excellant condition. I highly recommend!

This book is good for refreshing your memory. I would not use the book if your preparing for the NCLEX

Book was very helpful in preparing for my med math test for clinical placement in nursing school. Passed on my first try! Good problem sets and explanation of the rationale behind the steps.

If you need revision on drug calculations this is the perfect book for you.

Since most facilities use electronic pumps I complete a math book yearly to keep my manual work math skills up. Kaplan is a great book for this task. Starts from the very basics if needed. I usually complete the last 3-4 chapters for my review. If there is a basically math calculation that I have forgotten I can just refer to the chapter that discusses it.
