So I only purchased this product because I read that Marigold scent discouraged mosquitoes and I have been chewed up with mosquitoes this year! Nothing has worked! But then I heard about the scent of Marigolds discourages these blood suckers. So, I found this product. I really didn't care about the expense, I just wanted to be able to enjoy my yard without suffering so horribly with the bites and itching. WOW! I saw this essential oil and thought, why not try it? And WOW! IT WORKS! Seriously. before I go outside to sit on my patio, I put a few drops on each ankle/lower leg, then drop a droperful into the palm of my hand and rub both my arms with the essential oil. Since doing this, absolutely NO mosquito bites!! I have probably spent more than $150 on Mosquito eliminator products (you have NOT idea!) and this is literally the only one that works! I'm sure the intention of the manufacturer of this product was not for mosquito control. But it works!! last week, I had over 20 mosquito bites on my arms and legs (You can guess how itchy I was!) but, since using this essential oil: no bites. At all!! I purchased the smallest vial I could because I didn't want to spend any money on something that didn't work) but I will absolutely buy enough to get me through each summer! Honestly. It works! At least for me!

My initial reaction was, it does not smell like my marigold plants. But, upon doing a little research, and using a few drops on my face - it was pleasant & tolerable.Will purchase it again, thank you.

The yarrow essential oil is very smooth and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. The fragrance is strong but dissipates quickly.

I have no idea what marigold oil is supposed to smell like, and therefore I have no way to verify that this is marigold oil, but I love the scent of whatever this. It's so very light and fresh. Supposedly, marigold extract is good for depression and that is the reason I bought the oil. The bottle arrived from India in the timeframe given. The price is excellent. I will buy it again.

I was excited when I came across this on Amazon, but when I purchased it and used it I found that it dried my hair out it stripped it of all its oil, I'm African-American and my hair type is not that of Indian texture so maybe that is why it treated my hair that way. I would not purchase the product again. only because I don't think it's suitable for "my" hair type.

I added this to my test products, mixed with water, as a fly repellant for warm weather fly control. Seems pretty effective. I remember my own Mom planted marigold flowers in her vegetable garden for fly and bug control and seemed to work real good.
