Upgrade your Jeep!
WOW these worked great. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 L engine. The manual says to replace spark plugs every 30,000 miles and since the car is new to me and has 130,000 miles I decided to flush and replace the oil, coolant, transmission, brake, transfer case and differential fluids. I figured that I should replace the spark plugs as well and even looked at some high performance options. The car was running fine before the new plugs but after I have lot more power. The car used to struggle climbing hills at high altitude but no more. I don't know how old the NGK plugs were but these are a huge improvement. I did have to gap them but it was super easy. I love the Autolite XP985 Iridium XP Spark Plug. How easy? Follow these steps 30 minutes start to finish.1. Remove the four 13mm screws holding the ignition system on the passenger side of the engine.2. Unplug the wires on the ignition assembly on the back and remove the ignition assembly from the spark plugs.3. Loosen the old plugs, blow the gunk from around them.4. Gap the new plugs my engine sticker said .035"5. Pull the old plugs one at a time and replace with new till finger tight6. Tighten an additional quarter turn7. Clean the ignition contact and wire contacts on the ignition assembly8. Replace the ignition assembly, be careful to make sure the spark plugs fit into the rubber plugs.9. ENJOY!

Best plugs for Jeep 4.0
Felt a difference in acceleration & throttle response right away, gas mileage not so much. Replaced a nice set of Champion on my '06 TJ, Champions only had 20k on them but read these were the go to plugs for the 4.0. I will be using these for the rest of my Jeeps life time. A++

Performance increase
Great spark plugs. My old ones on my 99 4.0 Wrangler were garbage. After installing these I noticed a noticeable change in engine performance. Just spend the money and get it iridium. From my research. no one has had a set that needs replacing.

Last forever!
I ordered a set of these for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 to replace the same I had upgraded to 30,000 miles ago. Well I pulled out one with 30,000 miles and there was no wear it looked like a slightly dirty new one. Not even dirty enough to warrent a brushing. I put the old one back in and will check them again in 30,000 to see if they need to be changed yet. No spark plugs actually perform all the voodoo and hokus pokus they claim like improved MPG. I beleive these bad boys will last 100,000 miles easy.

Damaged
These plugs look to be line rejects. Bent electrodes, damaged ceramics, gapping all over the place. I wouldn’t trust these.

the best of the best
These replaced a set of cheapo spark plugs from the auto store that were in my 2000 Jeep TJ with the 2.5l engine. Jeep idles smooth, is quiet, and I did notice a bit more 'pep' in the engine after swapping these in. These plugs are, as many will agree, the best of the best. Being that they're iridium they can really be considered a permanent upgrade....these iridium plugs simply won't wear out like other plugs.

My spark plugs and distributer cap were shipped in a paper shipping bag. A couple of the spark plug boxes were dammaged and open. Loose plugs in the bag. No protection The distributer box was damaged and open. Spark plug boxes seem thin and cheap. I will be returning unfortunately
