Winston Graham has a way of keeping the reader guessing the whole time, about what is going to happen. This book kept me reading to the end.

Brilliant read, takes one back to the smart, witty world of the 1950's. Excellent tale of Greek politics and a love story all wrapped into one. Oh and there is a murder as well! I have read and re-read this book over the years, precious little that takes one back to a lost world as well as this.

A compulsive read. Very enjoyable to the end.

A very good plot, as expected from Winston Graham.
