Best Product I've used in years!
Writing review from my wife's account.Great stuff, first time ever using it and first time I've gotten into car detailing. I used on a black GT Mustang I purchases after I hand washed, clay bar the paint, polished, and finally wiped with 15% IPA solution. If this product doesn't work for you, you either didn't prime the paint correctly (it must be spotless) or you used to much product and didn't buff as you go so the product cured incorrectly.I applied this last week after doing the above for hours on Saturday and Sunday. It's been a week later and I did my first wash since adding the Opti-Gloss Coat and WOW! The water just sheets right off the paint! I softly hose the car down and then use a more jet nozzle setting before even touching the paint with a micro-fiber mitt. The car was virtually clean just from using the hose with this stuff. I had bugs plastered across the front after a few hundred mile road trip. Even most of those came off with just some spray from the hose as it seems the gloss-coat even allowed those to stick much less than normal. My wash mitts didn't even show a bit of dirty by the time I used them. Dried car in sections with waffle weave towels and I must say the reflective quality of gloss-coat is much better than people state, at least on my black car with good paint. It's not a deep gloss like a wax but it's very reflective. And I'll gladly sacrifice some deep gloss for the type of maintenance hours this product will save me in maintaining a swirl free (as much as possible!) and clean black paint Best car product I have used in year. The 10 ml tube was the perfect amount for the Mustang. Had I had a bit more I probably would have done my wheels. A few minutes after applying the product to a section of the car, buff the wet looking streaks or blotches that appear until it looks dry. Don't let it sit more than 5 minutes or it's harder to remove. As long as paint looks like it's dried after a few minutes, you are good to move on to the next section. Super easy application even for a rookie like me.Pictures below of the amazing water beading. Plus if you flood the car with the hose, most of the water just runs right off the surface making it less water to dry. Final pictures of smooth surface.

first one beaded water more than 3 years
with proper application it look freshly waxed for years, repels water and dust. I have done 3 cars, the first one after 3 1/2 years has stopped beading water, but still looks shiny. I definitely recommend it, just look at the videos and make sure you are comfortable with how to apply it. The prep is difficult, but the results are spectacular.

Easy, forgiving application
I originally had Optimum Gloss Coat applied professionally when I bought my M3, and I’ve been very happy with the results. Decided to reapply it myself (as it’s been over 2 years) this time around; product received appears to be genuine! Product is insanely straightforward to apply. It’s forgiving as well since it mostly self levels and requires little follow up after application. As always, paint prep is key, along with a IPA wipe down etc. , prior to applying Gloss Coat. Take your time, use the product appropriately and stand back and admire your results.* Tip 1: follow the directions and don’t over saturate the foam applicator (i.e., I only used 5mL of product for my mid size car)*Tip 2: following tip 1, level off any remaining high spots in a timely manner. Look at the paint surface at every possible angle with and without bright lighting to address any spots that haven’t self leveled. I had to lightly polish a few high spots and reapply because I had missed them.

Great value coating. Just unsure about durability
I’ve applied gloss coat to my paint corrected s4. It’s literally one of the easiest coatings to apply. You can do almost the whole car before grabbing a microfiber to level off any product that didn’t self level. Gave my paint a nice gloss/pop. My only issue was the durability it lasted maybe 8 months before the hydrophobics seem to diminish, even though it was topped with opti-seal and sometimes wet coat every 3 months. It could have been user error on my part, but if your thinking about it, it’s worth a try. I did my whole car and wheels with product left to spare.

Easiest stuff on the market to apply
I have used CarPro CQuartz and that was a complex procedure compared to this. his stuff levels so easy, easy to see where you missed, and I only needed 5cc for a Corolla! 5cc! Crazy, this stuff is so easy. I would use it on my car, but I think putting sealant down is just as good for protection. This stuff shines brilliantly. I mean if ceramic is a 5 sealant would be a 4/4.5 for me.

Works as expected
I have used one other ceramic coating from another manufacturer and this time I really wanted to try the Gloss-Coat. I used it on my wife's brand new Escape and it was MUCH easier to apply and it looks great! Way too early to tell about how durable it is but I am loving it so far. You can find videos online on how to apply it so I would recommend you watch those prior to application.

Half the product for full price
I think Opti-Coat 2.0 is a great product and I use it frequently for my detailing business, but to charge the same price for only 10cc vs. 20cc without any notes or indication of this change is ridiculous. I payed extra to have this next day shipped because I booked last minute high end jobs with a client who is moving out of state in a few days, and because I made the assumption it would come with 20cc I now am losing these jobs because of lack of product. Very very disappointed.I did re-edit my review on the principle that yes, this is an exceptional product.

Keeps car finish like new
This is my second time purchasing this product. I applied it 2 1/2 years ago and again recently. Once applied, it keeps the finish pristine. Water runs off the car with ease. It makes it easy to clean off dirt and bird poop. Very easy to apply. It is well worth the cost.

Another great produce from Optimum. Slicker than Opti-Coat 2.0, which Gloss-Coat replaces!
I was really sad when I ran out of Opti-Coat 2.0 and searched online only to discover they discontinued it. I was going to apply a second layer of the sealant to my freshly detailed car. Well, I decided to give this "new formula" a try on top of a layer of Opti-Coat 2.0 and I have to admit, it "feels" better (slicker) than the Opti-Coat 2.0. Optically, it looks about the same on my Phantom Black paint. Shiny with good depth. (I have yet to find a synthetic sealant that has the depth that Carnauba has...but then again, the synthetic sealants last far longer!)This coating is super easy to apply. Squirt on the pad, wipe, wait for the coating to flash, then gently level with a microfibre cloth. Basically, exactly the same as their previous formulations. The remaining (and big) question mark now is Gloss-Coat's durability. I've only had it coated for about 2 months now so I honestly cannot answer that. Reports from other car enthusiasts seem to indicate ~2 years if the surface is well maintained. That said, I typically polish at least once a year and re-apply any coating so as long as it makes it 12 months, I am unconcerned!
