Long Floating Fin

Rather than try swimming lessons for my 5-year old again (he was more interested in splashing the girls and disrupting the class when I had him go....) my husband recommended buying him fins and he's taught himself how to swim with these. These and a snorkel mask were the best summer "toys" we have ever purchased for him! I swam and played water polo and lifeguarded growing up, so you'd think I'd be the right person to teach my kids how to swim, but, as with a lot of things, sometimes your kids just don't want to learn things from you - they just want to figure it out on their own. I'm thinking of buying myself some now because they make swimming so much fun!

Excellent swim fins. Sizing is waayy under stated. I take a 10.5 shoe/sneaker but needed a xxxl 13/14 mens for proper fit. First pair ordered was returned as way too small, then I ordered their largest size and it was just right. Beyond that, they are a great swim fin and fairly stiff, and the boot is very comfortable, and they really do float!

Have a size 13 shoe… Ordered extra large… Fits perfectly .... purchased over a year ago… The most comfortable swim fins I've ever owned… Highly recommend five stars

They are great for swimming for fun and training. I highly recommend them! Before you but any pair though make sure you got to the size chart!

Disclaimer: I just bought these at a local retailer (for a little more than the current Amazon price), because I just didn't trust the sizing info (even though the sizing chart that Finis provides is easy to understand and seems way better than what most other manufacturers provide).It's a good thing I tried these on in store! The Finis sizing chart was completely OFF... at least for my feet.I am a straight up Men's size 11... in all footwear. Also, I measured my feet, per the Finis guidelines. My foot is exactly 11" long (back of heel to tips of both big and 2nd toe), and exactly 4" wide at the widest point. I then converted these measurements into centimeters (easy to do... c'mon people! Just Google it!).Based on my measurements, Finis says I'm on the border between XL (9-11) and XXL (11-13). Makes sense, right?Wrong.... I could barely squeeze into XL... and while I could put the XXL on without too much problem, they really pinched down hard on my big toes, and were quite painful with me just sitting there in the store, not moving or anything...Could my fairly 'normal' size feet (men's size 11, and a bit on the narrow side) really "be" size 13-14 (XXXL)???Yep. 13-14 (green colored fin, the largest size that Finis makes) were a PERFECT fit.Bought 'em, went straight to the pool, had an awesome workout (way more cardio than I am used to!), and just got home to write this review.I would say that if your feet are a tiny bit bigger than mine (11-1/2" in length, let's say), XXXL will fit you. But beyond that, I would say you'll have to find a different fin.By the way, the fins were perfect for lap swimming. Lots of propulsion without too much effort, but still quite a leg workout. Flip turns... no problem. The fit in the water was unchanged from when I put them on in store (i.e. they didn't become loose in the water... the fit and control was perfect). I especially loved how much fun they were to use for backstroke kicking (only) sets. I was leaving everyone else in the pool in my wake!Bottom line: Awesome fins. Crazy-inaccurate size guidelines.

These fins are perfect for me, but watch out for the sizing. I have very wide (6E) size 13 feet. I bought what is described as XXXL (size 14-16) and they fit extremely well. They are amazingly wide. The fins are actually marked XXL (size 14-16). If I had bought the size 11-13 they never would have come close to fitting. I was anticipating having to wear neoprene booties to make the 14-16's fit, but with booties they are too snug. I would have bought from Amazon but the yellow was out of stock in almost all sizes. Good basic fin.
