Not bad at this price point
Used it a few times to place WSOIC-16 and 144 pin TQFP IC's and it does the job well enough. For small parts I use tweezers. One slight drawback is when you turn the pump off to release the part, you have to hold steady and wait a second or two for the vacuum to fade until the part is released. Not ideal, but can be adapted to.

A good tool
The reviews on this in my opinion are a little harsh. It is a very strong vacuum pen however so if you are planning to use it for smaller components I'd keep looking. I use it for gpu repair, and it is perfect. Pulling big components like VRAM and GPU cores with this is awesome.

Geht

Makes SMD placement way less miserable
Tweezers work fine for most SMD work until you're trying to place a 0201 passive or a QFN package and suddenly you're fighting the component every single time it tries to stick to the wrong surface. This tool solved a problem I didn't fully realize was costing me that much time and frustration until I started using it. Suction is consistent and strong enough to pick up everything I've thrown at it — passives down to 0201, larger ICs, QFP packages, even some of the smaller BGA components with the right tip. The three tip sizes cover most use cases without needing to hunt down aftermarket nozzles. Rechargeable battery holds a charge well through a full assembly session without needing to plug in mid-work. That sounds basic but I've used battery powered pickup tools that couldn't make it through a board without dying. ESD safe construction matters and this one handles it correctly. Working on sensitive components and not having to worry about zapping something through the pickup tool is the whole point. One thing to flag — the suction release mechanism takes a little getting used to. First few uses I was accidentally dropping components at the wrong moment while my technique adjusted. Muscle memory issue more than a design flaw but worth knowing going in, especially if you're placing anything on a partially assembled board where a dropped component disappearing into the build is a real risk. Build quality is solid for the price. Feels like a bench tool, not a toy. Anyone doing regular SMD work who's still fighting tweezers on fine pitch components should just pick this up. I love the ease of use.
