I love the Hon file cabinet
I love the Hon file cabinet. It's sturdy and doesn't tilt with top drawers open. I was very disappointed with the delivery service. My file cabinet came damaged with a big dent in th bottom. It still works and would have been too much effort to return it. I would not give the delivery service any stars - 0. Also, they could not find my residence and I was standing on the corner of a busy street in the heat to wave them down to my residence. Get a better delivery service!

Good Quality
What I need. The color was not what I expected. Also, I ordered letter size but when I brought it in the house it was legal size. I kept it but had to order all new hanging file folders. Good product for the price.

Obvious manufacturing defect and no quality control
The delivery service delivered the box in decent condition (typical shipping scuffing of box but nothing out of the ordinary). We had the movers open it and there discovered serious damage just to the right of the top drawer. It looked like someone had taken a crowbar to defeat the lock and in the process grossly deformed the metal. As the box was undamaged and sealed, this file cabinet must have been placed in the box in this condition. I am not sure where the quality control was on this product, but assuming that HON has a QA division they were obviously asleep when this one came off the assembly line. It was returned for a full refund--we will not be purchasing a HON product again.The deliverymen from Home Direct were quite professional. Home Direct's scheduling service personnel were too, but their scheduling flexibility was nonexistent; a "call to schedule a delivery time" was in reality a call to inform us that they only delivered to our address on Tuesdays between 2 and 6 PM.
