Have big dogs? Buy this!!
I had bare spots all along my fence where my dogs run. I put down the seed, covered with hay and watered. A few weeks later I had grass! Even while the dogs continued to run! Two years later and it is still lush and green. This year we took up a brick path and put more of this seed down. Again the dogs ran across it EVERY DAY and two months later I have beautiful grass! The ONLY Scott's grass seed that actually works.
Every other variety of Scott's seed has failed miserably. And I mean, zero grass grew. The awful mix that has newspaper in it was the worst- not only did it not grow grass, but it left that newspaper residue in my yard for months.FINALLY, the high traffic mix actually worked!! Less than a week after seeding, it started to grow, and now it has almost completely filled in the bare spots in my lawn.I'll be using this variety going forward.

The trick is peat moss
This is a great grass seed, and it germinates quickly, but the trick to all of it is... Losen the dirt and a 1/2 inch of peat moss on top of the seed to keep it moist. It will germinate within 5 days.

Grass Seed
I overseeded my already OK lawn that I wanted to improve to be a little betterthan the neighbor's OK lawns. We've had a perfect damp spring weather pattern and if I use my imaginationI tend to think it's working.

Dogs...
I have 150# of dog shredding my yard so it's a little hard to give a fair review. This grows and I have green grass. Not sure that the "high traffic" is better than any of the others. I mix a few brands every year to try and keep diversity in seed

Not for sunny spots or high temps
Grew really fast, was doing great, until the heat hit. Despite watering every day, it just got clumpy, like 1/2 of it just disappeared?!? . Waste of money, now I have to re-seed.

You’ll have beautiful green grass no matter the terrain!!
Love love love this seed!!!Researched the hell out of seed. Tried 3 different seeds over the course of 7 months with very lil production.Tried some organic seed that worked a lil but this seed drastically out did its competition! We purchased a house that has about 1500 sq.ft. backyard and hadn’t been watered or cared for in a few yrs so it was ALL dirt! Hard slate dirt!We live realitively high up in the hills of Diamond Bar, in So Cal. So our yard gets direct sun from 6am til about 430pm...Sprinkled seed by hand (we don’t have a cool lil seed distributor and I actually prefer to lay it by hand to control the distribution a lil better)We layed an organic feed/fertilizer over the top of the first bag and needed a second bag of seed. Layed it about a week after the first but didn’t fertilize that batch for fear of killing new growth. We water every evening for about 45 seconds a section (soak but don’t flood)I’ve posted before and after pixs. The after pixs are about 4 weeks after laying bag #1We’re still gonna lay another bag but we want to weed n feed first and can’t do so until all sprouts have been growing for 3 weeks.Next step is pulling and killing all of the weeds that your gardener inadvertently tends to track seeds of from house to house...but I’ll take it any-day!!! Prob going to do another full layer so our thatch is a lil thicker (I told you I’ve been researching for a min now...thatch is your area above soil but below the green of your grass😏)Good luck and hope this helps!

Total fail!
I have used this product many times in the past few years with great success. This time it was a total fail with not one single seed germinating. Aerated, loosened top inch of soil, added inch of fresh top soil, seeded and watered twice a day for 14 days. Still not one blade of grass. Temps have been steady with highs in the low 80s, lows in the 50s.Quite angry over the waste of time, money, and water!
