Quality spatula
The silicone seems to be high quality and it's well made. I haven't seen any indication that the painted (or whatever) eyes might not hold up well. It's been through the dishwasher & hand scrubbed with no problems. It performs equally to our more expensive silicone utensils. It is a stiffer spatula, just for reference, and seems a little wider than standard spatulas. Would absolutely purchase again or recommend to any Studio Ghibli fan.

Very Impressed
The quality of this product is really good. It appears to have been made in Japan. The handle is high quality and the Calcifer head is securely attached and adorable! I was concerned I couldn't use this with food (if it was made in China) but I'd be confident to flip some pancakes or eggs with it. This little spatula far exceeded my expectations.

Sturdy. Heat resistant
I use this to press things down. It doesn't bend. Shame that there's a mouth hole but it's part of the aesthetic (ruins pressing grounded food down). Really great at scraping things down. I expected flimsiness and was surprised.
