I have been using Dermend Lotion for about 6 months now. The intensity of an initial hemorrhage has been greatly reduced since starting to use Dermend Lotion. See attached photo of example of huge hemorrhage I used to get before starting to use Dermend Lotion. The photo was taken about a week after the initial hemorrhage which took another three weeks to totally disappear. The other pictures show a recent initial hemorrhage and then pictures taken one day, two days, three days, and four days after the initial hemorrhage. As you can see there is a world of difference between not using Dermend Lotion and using Dermend Lotion. I use Dermend Lotion every night before going to bed. I put a large spot about the size of my little finger nail on the top side of my right and left hands, and another spot of the same size on the top of my right and left forearms. Then I rub the tops of my hands together and then take the top of my right hand and rub the top of my left forearm. Then I take the top of my left hand and rub the top of my right forearm. The tops of my hands and the tops of my forearms were the main places where I was getting hemorrhages so I don't waste any Dermend Lotion on the palms of my hands or the underside of my forearms. For me, Dermend Lotion has been a wonderful experience and all I can say is try it for yourself and give it a chance. If it works for you like it did for me you'll be thrilled! : )

Long (a couple of years) I think it helps the skin get stronger. I don't see this preventing bruises on me unless maybe by making the skin stronger--but I do not notice this in daily use. It does not make bruises go away any faster, at least on me it doesn’t. This sounds like I do not like the product but that it not true. I have been using the product for 5 years and will continue to use it as a method to make my forearm skin stronger, thicker, whatever the medical profession calls it.

I started suffering from actinic purpura a few years ago. I spend most of the time trying to heal a nasty spot on my forearms and wear long sleeves even in summer when I have a really bad blood bruise. I found DerMend in an article when I was desperately searching for something that might help -- after another nasty blood bruise from a bungee cord that snapped and hit my arm. Came straight to Amazon and ordered it and it arrived 8/28. I have been using it more than twice a day -- more like 4 times -- and also using the fragile skin formula. I didn't take a before photo, but this is that really nasty, huge, dark bruise after only one week. Normally it would be a minimum of two weeks to fade or longer. I still can't believe how fast it's disappearing. I'm hoping it MIGHT fade the usual brown spot they leave behind, but too soon to know.

This product was recommended by my dermatologist. I’ve been applying twice a day. It may be to early to give an accurate review after such a short time. What I have noticed is that if I bruised it seems to heal more quickly. I still bruise as easily not sure if this product is suppose to eliminate or reduce bruising. Applying twice a day one pump bottle lasts about a month. I’m going to continue to use but at some point if I don’t see real results will discontinue because of the high price. I only gave 3 stars because I don’t want to give the impression that it’s a great product until I see better results.I’m still applying in the morning and before bed. The results are still,as I’ve already written above. Bruising seems to heal more quickly. When I do bruise I also apply arnica directly to the bruised area. I think this helps also. Will keep using.

I have been using this product for about a month and I do find that it does help clear up the bruising a fact after a few days. I don’t want to jinx it because every time my arms clear up bum I get another one out of nowhere. I’ve had this problem for about eight months and it’s so annoying it’s called Actinic Purpura (thinning Skin).

I use the regular dermend on any new bruise 2X day and bruise doesn't last half as long. This lotion is wonderful to put on my arms before I go to say costco and carry boxes so I prevent even more bruising. Yeah-wish it was cheaper but it does infact work and as a nurse I can't find anything else that comes close to how good this stuff is. As you get older the skin becomes thinner and you get the red or purple bruises and that is what this is for---can't say enough good things about this stuff...

This is a true review. I didn’t get anything free nor have I been contacted by anyone from the company. Just an honest review.Due to medication, my forearms bruise very easily. It’s actually more like blood sitting just below the skin. This is the only lotion I have found that actually helps the bruises heal. I have tried everything out there. It doesn’t work overnight but it will shorten the healing time.Be sure to rub in the lotion until it’s completely absorbed. It will clear up the bruises in about a week to 10 days.
