I wish I could give a copy to everyone I cared about
Quite honestly one of the most practical books I've seen in a long while. This is a book of MEDITATIONS (Ruminations) regarding the importance of making "the rubber hit the road". For the most part the author uses quotes to start off the short essays and writes regarding them. His insights are a keen as the men that he quotes. Personally, I read this book in the evenings reviewing my day and thinking of the next. I wish I had copies to hand to every person (especially young people) whom I care about. This is the type of book that you read and re-read over time.

Good pep talk for taking opportunities
Short, digestible encouragements to get out of your head and do something. A bit too vague, but then again, brevity was the point in a tract on spurring action.

I can't recommend this book highly enough.
I bought the kindle edition originally and loved it so much I then purchased the paperback which is well made and designed . I don't know very much about the author but I found his insight and writing very strong. This is a special book.

Great Gift Opportunity
Nothing Earth-shattering in this book. But, most of the information in here is so obvious you almost want to palm-slap your own forehead when you read it.Simple truths...emphasis on the simple.I bought four of these to hand out as "stocking stuffer" gifts for Christmas. Everyone who got one has already talked about how impressed they were with the book, and most of them read stuff from it multiple times during the week. It's a great book to have at your side, if for nothing other than a swift kick in the pants when you find yourself drowning in "not acting"Strongly recommended

It's the written version...
Of watching the training montage in all the Rocky movies at once, all in a row. So turn on Eye of the Tiger and do something.

A distilliation of the best from stoicism, investment philosophy, and personal improvement
This book is exactly what it claims to be. A pocket guide to action. It contains brief distillations of what I'd say is the best stuff from Stoicism, investment philosophy, and personal improvement. You know, all the timeless advice (that applies across most areas of life) and bears long-term reflection. Perfect to keep on the bedside and look over once or twice a week.I'm excited for Kyle's next work to come out soon.

Quick discussions about taking action that encourage, and leave space for taking action.
A good read for anyone trying to develop a bias towards taking action or to free themselves from overthinking. It would be a contradiction to write (and read) long chapters about taking action.Kyle's brief meditations format gives you something to consider then leaves you to go do something with it - to take action.

Not bad but also not that good
Some good reminders but also a lot of platitudes and repetitions. Seemed like a bunch of blog posts assembled into a small book.

Life is about living a.k.a acting in the moment not brooding or thinking
The book is very good , for all the managers out there who are under immense pressure psychologically to do the right thing take the right decision. Read this , think less and act more.It seems simple but it is often not , read this book to shackle your mental beliefs and go ahead and achieve whatever you want in life not through arguments thinking but by actions.I loved this book appreciate the author.

Short but informative read
Small book. Short read, small price, but large advice and insight. Well worth reading, thinking about, and most of all, acting on the wisdom offered.
