Arrived in very healthy condition and early
As many have already stated, packaging wasn't fantastic and I received two of these and suspect the company sends multiples if they can't meet the size they've specified which suits me just fine. They did arrive much earlier than the anticipated date of arrival. The roots and plants look very healthy. I was thrilled to read they only need watering once a week during warm weather and once every two to three weeks in cooler weather. I don't have a green thumb so this might just work out. The note indicated to plant them in a sandy medium and allow them several weeks to take root and produce leaves. I have them in their pots in a sunny window and am anxiously anticipating two beautiful bonsai i'll one day be very proud of. At least I've got a 50/50 chance of one of them surviving but as mentioned they arrived in excellent condition. Hope we just have enough sun this winter in Buffalo for them to make it.

Far exceeded expectations
When I ordered this Desert Rose, I was not sure if I would get the best plant. Based on the photos shown of what the plant looks like on arrival, I was expecting to get a plant with one main trunk stalk. I was extremely surprised when the package arrived a month ago. It was well packaged the plant was in excellent shape with many branches. The package had good instructions, but I would also advise anyone getting a desert rose to go online and look at how to care for videos to get good tips on getting a healthy plant started. Within one week, the first leaf was showing and now a mont later it is covered with leaves. This is really a great plant that anywhere else I would have paid double for.

1yr - Finally growing
I had little hopes for this at first, the base was squishy and I thought it was rotted. It lost all its leaves for a long time and seemed really finicky until very recently. These are pics after exactly one year of being in an east window. It’s finally getting multiple leaves and looks happy. I just reported it for the first time. I think after a while it will look nice. Not a plant that provides immediate beauty.

Try to find one in a nursery first.
I like that it was carefully packed. It arrived with a few leaves on it, but they soon yellowed and fell off, even with root stimulant/transplant food(Miracle Gro) As of today(11/23) it has 1 leaf left and possible lateral budding. It does NOT look like the photo in ad...far from it. The photo shows a plant older than 1 year...most likely 5 years of age. I already own an 8 year specimen and it is 2 to 3 feet tall. The photo shows a well cared for Bonsai style. Mine is far from that. I welcome the challenge to make this one grow to look like the one in the photo. I would not give this as a gift. The receiver might be disappointed.

Jury is still out
I bought this for my wife 6 months ago. Wasn't sure what to expect, but thought it would be beautiful when in bloom. We kept it in the greenhouse from November to April. Growth is extremely slow and currently it only has a few leaves. Have since read some and I figure it will be at least a year or two before it gets big enough to bloom. I didn't realize it was a tree, but thought it was a succulent. We will take care of it and hope for the best.
