Understanding Hydrolats: The Specific Hydrosols for Aromatherapy: A Guide for Health Professionals

You better know the Latin name of the plants, tree's etc. because that is what the book uses. For a layman this book is difficult to digest. Actually, I don't like the writing style of the author at all. It seems that about 80% of the book is citated,...extremely annoying and gives it an awkward flow. Had hoped I would learn a lot more about hydrosols, such as what each are supposed to smell like, etc. This book truly reads more like a research paper. The authors come across as not truly knowing too much about Hydrosols, and rather just researched and put in a book.Save your money and rather purchase the book from Suzanne Catty "Hydrosols The Next Aromatherapy. You will learn a lot more about individual hydrolats in an easy to understand format.I will be returning this book.TRULY don't understand how it would get 5 Star ratings.

Great book for the person desiring to learn more about hydrosols and how they are made and what they are all about. It is chocked full of information on hydrosols; very helpful in understanding them. I would recommend it for sure. Easy reading...nothing too complex.

Worth every penny!

I received this book after going to the F.H.T 50th anniversary and I saw it on the Penny Price stall. Len is her father and as she gave such an interesting talk. I didn't think I would be disappointed with the book. It is really interesting and I have learnt so much from it. This family really know what they are talking about.
