Great fit! Lots of thought in the design.
The bags look great and my Mackie Thumps fit great. The bags are great! They offer lots of protection for the speakers during transport. The build quality looks great. I just wish the zippers went all the way around instead of stopping and then having velcro to seal it up. Just my preference. I also like straps inside the bag to secure the speaker but these fit snuggly so I’m happy.

Mackie Thump 12A Speaker Bag
I'm just starting out doing DJ events for small charity organizations. I needed a way to help carry my speakers and look nice doing it. My Thump 12As need me to last and these bags will help. They are high quality with nice strong zippers and padding. The handles are in good positions and strong. Only complaint would be that it doesn't have wheels like gator bags.

Ripped on third use
The fabric handle to carry the speaker started ripping on the third use. Doesn't look like its is made well enough to support carrying the weight of the speaker. Very disappointed as now I have a ripped bag that exposes the speaker to outside elements. Not a huge deal as there are other handles on top but definitely didn't expect this type of quality issue from Mackie.

Great in theory, not in practice.
What I really like about these bags is that they fit nicely, and a lot of care was put into the design of the bag. For example, the bags have plastic feet on the bottom and on the side co they can be stood upright stably. The construction is good. the zippers are large and seem hefty, durable. They look is nice. Best of all, they protect the speaker from nicks and dings as they are being transported. However, I find these bags make the speakers heavier, bulkier, and ultimately harder to carry. The handle straps are too long and the speakers hang too low, even for a tall guy like me (6'3"). The result is a very cumbersome, unbalanced, and heavier load. Unlike the speakers themselves with multiple handles at multiple points, there's no other way to carry the speakers in the bag other than the handle straps. It makes for some awkward moments as you try to carry the speakers through doorways or narrow halls. Loading the speakers into a vehicle is very difficult. As previously stated, the handles are too long so lifting the speakers into a car or back seat requires raising them an extra 12-18 inches, with an outstretched arm because there's no other grip or grasp points..I'm going to keep the bags because I like the protection they provide. There's significant padding, the interior is carpeted, and there are extra plastic skids and ribs which provide wall rigidity. Like I said, it's pretty well designed. But what I thought would make transporting the speakers easier has made it significantly more difficult.I'm still a fan of Mackie, regardless.
