I'd Recommend It
"Laughter Is A State Of Mind" just may be true. Every outdoor scene is pretty consisting of fields and blue skies. There are some funny scenes with a big toy factory making this a strange film. Which is good. It HAD to be funny because Robin Williams is the funniest man alive. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's not to be taken seriously either. This is pure fantasy to begin with.The film starts with "Closing Of The Year", a nice christmas song. Then Michael Gambon comes to the factory to talk with the founder of Zevo Toys. That's how it starts off and goes into the film with fun performances by Robin Williams and Joan Cusack. I'm recommending this movie for everyone. Here's the gig with Michael Gambon: He is given the toy factory and wants to set up military toys which were never made at Zevo. But he gets a little carried away with everything. You only need to read the title and see it. You will probably be blown away by this movie.

Lush, wonderful movie
Leonard Maltin continues to be a jackass.This movie is a visual treat, and the soundtrack (with folks like Pat Methany, Enya, Tori Amos, and Thomas Dolby) is a joy. While the plot might not be overwhelming, this is a movie where the creators obviously cared a lot about the experience of watching the thing. Joan Cusak is wonderful, and LL Cool J is superb. So make sure you're relaxed and want to visit a surreal world where joy and violence do battle. Let peace and happiness prevail.

Great and funny movie
One of my favorite movies from Robin Williams. I suggest if you have never seen this movie before, at least rent it or buy it. I do understand some people wont like or understand some of the humor due to the age of the movie, but if you are like me and grew up on movies like this then you'll love it.

Toys
We always pull this movie out around Christmas time. Its one of the family favorites. From the music, the sets and and interesting story that kids from 8-80 can enjoy. This one is a classic in my opinion. Berry Levinson did a superb job. Looking forward to the DVD
