Fishing Key West and the Lower Keys

This is a very good book. I just got it and read it cover-to-cover in a day...it was hard to put down. Now I'll have to read it again and study it. He doesn't waste many words, and gets right into specifics of fishing around Key West. The book is broken down into sections - areas, techniques, and species. I'm not a local, but have been on several guide trips and have spent probably 50-75 days on the water down there in my own boat (mostly inside the reef) and many things I've discovered through trial and error, guide trips, and browsing hundreds or thousands of forum posts are in this book. It's pretty obvious within the first few pages that the guy knows what he's talking about, and there are quite a few very useful quotes from local guides also.

This “fishing book” is really for those that already know a good deal about fishing .... which I do not, but was hoping to learn as a Key West (new) resisdent. This is Not the book for that. Although a lot of good info, I found myself actually googling terms used in the book. Glad I didn’t get a brand new version of this book as it would have been a complete waste of money. Bought an used version for a very good price and in great condition.

I bought these for my husband for his Birthday because we are hoping to move to the keys. He loves this book it has a lot of different information most books do not have and is very informational when your are used to fishing in California the pacific ocean. Down in Florida is a whole different ball game. As I am writing this he is actually on the couch nose deep in this book!

Best book I ever read. So much information on hot spots, bait, rigs etc. Took me forever to read it because I took so many notes. 👍🏻Can’t wait to get back to Key West next month and try my luck.

fantastic book for a new angler in the Keys

The book itself is very informative and well written. How ever I bought it used in “very good condition “. It wasn’t. Disappointing

This was a great book! I have been fishing the keys for years and this book had a lot of valuable information that I didn't know before. The stories and the how-to information are great. This book made me want to head right back down to key west to go fishing again. I highly recommend it if you love to fish.

Great book am reading it now. Lot of info that still is just the tip of the iceberg. Great resource for those new to Key West.Good book & delivery. Reliable seller.

Average book

Lots of good info and provides useful insights into the various types of onshore, nearshore and offshore fishing opportunities in the Lower Keys. Makes me want to go there even more than before. Would have liked to have seen more and better quality maps, illustrations and color photos, but well worth the modest price for what you do get.
