Love This Phone!!
I wanted to come on here and add to the reviews, lol with all the buzz around the iPhone 6 now. I have had my Lumia 1520 since last December and I absolutely love it! I loved it before the recent Windows Phone 8.1 upgrade and now, after that, I love it waaay more! It's almost like a new phone but within the same hardware. Upgraded interface! On to the review - I'm not much of a techie so I'm not going to list a review of every feature. Of course the camera is great and really everything else. I will go through some things I really love about it. Cortana is really awesome. I don't think it is operating yet at full capacity- meaning I don't think I've untapped all of its capabilities yet, but it is really cool. It doesn't talk to me as much as I would like but that's probably because I don't really talk to it - I still feel a little weird talking to my phone! I didn't go through the whole Siri thing, as I never liked the iPhone interface.Back to the phone & Cortana:I love the daily snapshot it gives me - tailored to me from all the things I told it.I love the reminders it gives me - telling me that its time to leave and the traffic, to get to an appointment. Its really helpful.I love the slide down notifications and expanded volume control.I love the new texting style - makes typing a lot of words possible in a really short time! and is so effortless!I love the new update to the already cool live tiles! The transparent background is awesome!I love the new glance screen - the update is just that much cleaner! And of course I've always loved the overall look - both the build of the phone and the interface. I appreciate the interface over a Droid or iPhone interface any day, and furthermore don't get how soooo many people aren't turned on to Window Phone's interface instead!I think Microsoft needs to do better advertising! Maybe stop showing Windows Phones in comparison to Apple. I mean that's great and all - people need to see a comparison but a lot of the earlier ads - that kind of comparison just makes it seem like you're constantly showing Apple as the standard that you're trying to catch up to (standard in popularity of course) but they need to show how Windows Phone stands in its own class!Lastly I really hope they continue to improve the phone. If they continue to make jumps like they did with this WP8 to WP8.1 - they will be lightyears ahead of the competition!!

BIG Phone but pretty awesome
This is a big phone and will certainly not be for everyone. After watching some reviews online I still did not get the true size until I held it the first time. That said, it is a pretty awesome device.* The screen is truly amazing. It is clear, crisp and responsive and an absolute joy to work on. But at full brightness, it does suck the battery pretty fast.* The Windows Phone 8 OS is coming along nicely and although you will miss some apps (waiting impatiently for FlipBoard) I have found that it addresses all my day to day needs. (see notes below)* Speed is awesome and games like Asphalt 8 runs brilliantly.* The ATT version only has 16GB of Memory for Apps and no wireless charger. (Thanks for that). But not the phones fault.* I added a 32GB micro SD Card for extra media.* The camera is awesome. 20MP is more than enough for most users.* Browsing the web on this device is pretty good. The big screen helpsSo, Windows Phone 8. The OS got a bad wrap and although there are still some major issues / missing features it is definitely getting better. The user experience is great and fresh when compared to iOS that despite it's makeover, is pretty stale. Things that I miss are:* VPN support (coming)* Notification center (coming).... not much elseThe app gap is closing fast and if Microsoft does go in the direction that some media outlets are reporting (dropping royalty fees for Windows Phone [unconfirmed]) we should hopefully see an explosion of devices to challenge android.Since the OS will only get better, I'm happy with my purchase.

The phone was repaired and comes defective
Seller doesn't care about condition of products before shipping, item was listed as a used but it was repaired and it's not assembled properly because it comes defective there is a big space between display and back cover case and also with blocked charging port.So for now it's a junk.

Great Phone with no Future
I purchased this phone from a third party Amazon retailer as used. The retailer was honest about the phone and described what was good about it and what was not so good about it.I purchased a replacement rear camera lens that was previously broken and identified by the seller. The phone worked flawlessly. I was able to upgrade the phone to a newer version of Windows Phone and am very happy with it.I have owned this Nokia Lumina 1520 for several months now and like everything about it that it is NOT. Mainly it is NOT an Apple iPhone which is what this Nokia Replaced, and yes, I just slid my AT&T sim card out of my iPhone and into the Nokia. Works perfectly and was able to move my contacts easily from my old phone to this one.The Nokia 1520 is a big phone, more like a phablet than a phone. This smartphone is not for everyone's taste as it is large, somewhat cumbersome, but takes awesome pictures and video. I feel more comfortable with the Windows interface rather than Apple. Apple makes a great phone but I really got tired of the hype and how much I needed the bleeding edge of their technology, so I got off the train and went to Nokia. Now that Nokia has sold their phone business to Microsoft, I may have a different opinion with the next generation of Surface Phone or whatever they are going to call it. I may keep what I have for a few more years and not upgrade at all, I am that happy with it now.
