display is solid. most responsive eink device I've ever used. the form factor is great. so easy to take it with me.

I love this reader. I was looking for a small reader that I could use with one hand and take in and out of my pocket during a commute. It was easy to install (I put the Kindle app on it) and I use it every day. It's expensive, but I'm very happy with mine.

Screen broke after 1 and a half months, I had read this was a problem but figured it was due to mishandling. I crouched down with the Palma in my pocket and now the top right portion of the screen is unreadable. Ridiculous that a product designed to be carried around cant survive being kept in a pocket (Especially at this price). Avoid the palma at all costs.

I'll preface this by stating that my wife and I own a few other Boox devices that have been awesome such as the Go Color 7, the Tab Ultra C Pro, and the Air3 C. The Palma was a fantastic addition to the lineup and all together great alternative if you don't want to take a tablet with you but still want to get some reading done and avoid eye strain.Its crisp, has a snappy response, and does most things a phone would do minus having a sim card slot.

This is a very expensive e-reader that doesn't work as it should. It is VERY GLITCHY!! It is very customizable, but customizations don't always work, and I have to constantly go into settings to make sure I have it set right. The page turn from the screen gets confused with the zoom option. So, when I'm trying to turn the page by swiping on the screen, the text will get big or small depending on which way I'm swiping. Then it will freeze up right after. So, then I have to shut the device off and restart. EVERY SINGLE TIME! It's very frustrating. I have the side buttons set as a page turner for the Kindle app and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have one of the side gestures from the screen set for brightness and that doesn't always work either. I have to go into settings and do it from there. AGAIN....very frustrating. It freezes up a lot, battery life isn't great. I might get a week of use with it before I have to charge again.Plus side: it's very lightweight, keeps me from being distracted from all other apps on my phone and is customizable. Again, those don't work great though. For the money I paid, it should work wayyyyyyy better than this! I do not recommend getting one of these. Too expensive for a mediocre device.

My favorite e-book reader!! Intelligent, super fast, very compact the size of a cell phone!! Fits in pockets and messenger bags and fast and easy to read all my favorites on the go or waiting during appointments etc.. I love this e-reader! Great in any lighting as well and super highly customizable! Worth every penny!

I wanted an e-ink device so that I could get less blue light and less eye strain. I decided to get the Palma 2 because some things I wanted to read required apps and websites. So I couldn't get a normal e-reader. Having an Android e-ink device was going to be good. I also liked the size and adjustable speed of the display. I don't really care for big tablets. I like the size of a smaller phone.The screen contrast is not good. The background is too yellow/cream and the text is not dark enough. I wish the background was off white and the text was a darker black. It is hard to see even in a room with two 71 watt equivalent light bulbs. It's easier on my eyes to use a device with an OLED screen in dark mode. For some reason the Palma 2 doesn't come with a dark mode setting in the Android settings. But I tried dark mode in an app and it was still difficult to read and strained my eyes. The contrast between the background and foreground color just isn't great enough. It is better with the built in front light turned on. But then I have a blue light shining in my eyes which I don't want.The touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive, especially in two areas: When I try to swipe "back" it often ignores me. My thumb gets very tired trying to swipe ten times in a row. Also the "Enter" key on the keyboard often ignores the press. I have to press it a second time almost every time. But scrolling up and down seems to work very good and fast! But the Palma 2 is closer to the size of an iPhone 16 Pro Max.* The touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive.* The microphone button on the keyboard doesn't recognize anything I say. I know the mic works because the microphone for Google search recognizes what I say just fine.Medium:* The speaker is not very good but I could have lived with it if it weren't for all the other cons.
