Five stars for the music, but....
.... this is vastly overpriced, and doesn't come with the advertised download code! The outer box is great (although is the yellowing/ageing on it deliberate or do I have an old copy?) , the vinyl is nice and heavy, but the album sleeve feels cheap, and the extras simply aren't worth bothering with. It all rattles about in the box too, so some will definitely get damaged in transit, although luckily mine wasn't. However to send it to me, Amazon just stuck the delivery labels on the plastic wrap surrounding the box, no other packaging at all, so, I was immensely lucky for it not to be damaged! This is worth half what I paid for it,(I paid £38.95), very disappointed.

A fantastic debut album done justice
I have loved listening to Rush for years and first saw them live in 1980. I always thought their first album was fantastic with a lovely blues rock style and Geddy Lee's excellent characteristic vocals and bass playing really shine here. It may be slightly more raw than some later albums but that is part of its appeal and you can easily follow the evolution of the band through their great albums up to where they went a bit more "electronic".This is a nice box set with a very good remastering transferred onto 200g vinyl that sounds awesome on a good system. One of my all time favourites. The additional goodies in the box set are nice but like all box sets, they tend to be a bit overpriced for what you actually get. Overall though, its the music and the quality of the record that counts, so a definite full marks

RUSH 74''
No ones reviewed this edition and I'm not going to go on about the music on this LP as its to be found elsewhere. The sound quality on the record is the best I've heard. The pressing is prefect as is the lovely packaging. Every band has to start somewhere and Rush first LP is a good debut. Very Led Zepp but already Rush were finding their feet. The rest is history.

One of my favourite Rush albums gets a beautifully packaged high quality re-issue ...
One of my favourite Rush albums gets a beautifully packaged high quality re-issue on vinyl. The vinyl sounds fantastic and the album sleeve has been perfectly re-produced. The record is housed in sturdy box that contains promo pictures of the original line up, a poster advertising the release of the album and a family tree. Time to put the vinyl on the record player and listen to "Working Man".

Great vinyl but returned due to missing items
Poster and download card (I assume is printed on the master tape graphic) were missing from the set. Contacted amazon and only option they gave me was to refund and not replace. Annoying since the set itself is great and the vinyl sounds fantastic.

Still a great album.
Everything has already been said about this, nice package, very good sounding vinyl. It was the only Rush album I didn't have up to Presto. Can't believe I got it for £12 from Amazon last week. (price now £43)
